    摘要: A one-piece plug for terminating a cord to connect electrically the cord to components in a telephone apparatus is constructed with features advantageous to the assembly of the cord with the plug. The plug has a dielectric housing molded with a cord-input aperture in the one end thereof. The jacket is removed from a leading portion to expose individually insulated conductors. Then an end portion of the cord is inserted into the cord-input aperture in the housing until individual conductors are received in conductor-receiving troughs and until the leading end of the jacket abuts a shoulder formed internally of the housing. Forces are applied to a jacket anchoring member formed integrally of the housing to partially disconnect it from the housing and move it into engagement with the jacket. Another portion formed integrally with the housing is reformed into a strain relief element in engagement with the conductors to provide strain relief for the conductors. Flat blade-like terminals are inserted into the dielectric housing to move internal contacting portions thereof through the insulation and into engagement with the conductors. External contacting portions of the terminals engage associated components of the telephone apparatus when the plug is inserted thereinto.

    摘要: Having an advantage in user convenience, an electrical connector for connecting with an electrical cable under a do-it-yourself scenario is provided, where the cable has a knot at a cable end. The connector comprises a connector body and a cover. The connector body has an internal space for housing the knot, an opening for allowing the cable end to access the internal space, and an outlet for allowing the cable to run from the internal space to outside the connector body. The cover has a top plate for covering the opening. In particular, the cover includes two wings protruded from the top plate collectively for claiming the knot to secure the knot inside the internal space. A separation of the two wings is advantageously selected to be 2 times to 3 times of a cross-sectional width of the outlet for producing a clamping effect on the knot.

The splice part has a cable receiving part and a core guiding part, the core guiding part having at least two core receptacles, and each core receptacle having at least two retaining elements and at least two clamp elements forming a clamping gap. The retaining elements and the clamp elements do not overlap in the core insertion direction.
