摘要： Methods and apparatus of improving telecommunication network efficiency by increasing user device registration with and use of the network are disclosed. Improved user device registration and use, and thus increased efficiency may be achieved by allocating revenue generated by operation of a telecommunication network between user devices, a network operator device, and a third party device. The allocation of revenue may be based, at least in part, on a hierarchical relationship between user devices registered with the network and information concerning the use of the telecommunication network by the user devices.

摘要： Charging systems and methods are disclosed for determining the share of call revenue for multiple entities. One embodiment comprises a charging controller that is coupled to a mobile network and an online charging system. The charging controller receives charging data for a call in the mobile network, and processes the charging data and charging rules to identify entities that have a share in revenue for the call. The charging controller generates a charging request message indicating the entities having a revenue share in the call, and transmits the charging request message to the online charging system to cause the online charging system to determine the revenue share for each of the entities.

The communication exchange includes an ecosystem of a plurality of operators, having one or more HPMN and VPMN operators. The communication exchange further includes a gateway for facilitating local data services for users, where the user is roaming in a visited network (VPMN) over existing roaming relationship between the VPMN and a home network (HPMN), by configuring an Access Point Name (APN) of the users. The communication exchange further includes an interface maintaining a bi-directional connection with the gateway to exchange information related to the roaming services, and a bi-directional connection with users via their mobile devices' user interface.

The calling party may be in a controlled environment such as a prison or hospital; the called party is using a mobile telephone device. The call is facilitated by a service provider such as a connect service provider. The call is monetized by a message service charge billed to an account associated with the mobile telephone device. The call is facilitated as a voice call if there is authorization both for a charge for message service to the mobile telephone device and for the call from the calling party. The system is implemented with a system may use a message service communication protocol for the message and billing charge. computer-based system in operation with the interactive voice response system. Revenue from monetization of the call may be shared between service providers.

摘要： Disclosed is a method and system to implementing telephony user account billing which incentivises shared phone usage. The owner of a phone, or other device capable of making telephony calls, would receive a credit to their phone account balance, from the telephone service provider, when they share their phone with another user and allow that user to make a phone call or other transaction by logging into their account using the shared phone, making the phone call or other mobile transaction and then returning the phone. Once the phone call or other transaction is complete the caller's own virtual account balance would be decremented as normal, but in addition a credit would be applied to the phone owner's account. The credit would be given to the phone owner from the telephone service provider and would either be a fixed amount, or an agreed percentage revenue share of the cost of the call or transaction.
