摘要: A simple and easy-to-memorize operation method for a scheduling management system is provided to perform main tasks such as referring to schedules of a selected member or a selected date. A software component indicating a schedule, a member, or a date is moved to any one of components constituting a GUI screen, and when the software component is superposed upon another component, the motion destination component constituting the GUI screen judges the type of the superposed software component to select a process to be performed. Main tasks can be performed by a simple operation method through superposition of software components.

摘要: An interactive dental restoration method and system for use between a dentist and a dental restoration laboratory. The method includes identifying a dental restoration need in a patient; designing a preliminary treatment plan that includes design criteria for preparation of a dental prosthesis to be placed in the patient to satisfy the dental restoration need; transmitting the preliminary treatment plan via a communications network to a dental restoration laboratory; and communicating a final treatment plan, including modifications to the preliminary treatment plan where necessary, to the dentist. The system includes a computer-based dental restoration system of a network server having a database storing information about materials, procedures and preparations concerning dental restoration prostheses; a communications network providing access to the network server; and one or more computers at a dental office accessing information stored at the database over the communications network and displaying the information in a humanly readable format. Preferably, the communications network is the Internet, and the information stored in the database comprises preparation diagrams, reduction dimensions, margin design and burs for specific dental restoration prostheses. Typically, the final treatment plan includes information about materials for preparing a dental prosthesis that satisfies the design criteria, and the dental prosthesis is then prepared for placement in the patient. This enables optimization of the dental restoration with significant savings in time and effort for the dentist, dental technician and the patient.

摘要: An electronic board system includes an electronic board having a screen for displaying information of interest to a work group or community, an input device for receiving information from users in a group or community to be displayed on the electronic board, a memory for storing information received from the input device and a processor for selecting which information stored in the memory to display on the screen, where and how to display the selected information on the screen and displaying the selected information on the screen. The processor selects which information to display in accordance with a predetermined relationship based on a group-based recommendation criteria and user interest. A plurality of sensors disposed behind the screen detect user interest in information displayed on the screen near the sensor. User interest may also be determined by monitoring user requests for copies of information displayed on the screen.

摘要: A code inspection tool comprises a plurality of physical computing resources connected by a network facility, eg an LAN, intranet or internet, and a voice conferencing communications facility. The code inspection tool interfaces with a known configuration management system to load a quantity of original source code. A group of developers use a plurality of graphical user interfaces to inspect the code. All graphical user interfaces log into display views generated on a main graphical user interface, which is operated by a human controller of a code inspection session. The code inspection tool comprises means for allowing developers to compile annotation data and forward the annotation data from their respective graphical user interfaces to a centralized data store. Internal algorithms of the code inspection tool compile markers relating the annotation data files to individual lines of source code. During a code inspection session, all developers view a same display, which sets out original source code, side by side with new source code on a line by line basis, matching the line numbers of the original source code with those of the new source code. Changes to the original source code and new source code are visually identified by automatic generation of icons next to the appropriate source code lines on the display. Annotations to the source code lines are indicated by further icons next to the appropriate lines. The tool automatically generates data describing statistics of a code inspection process, for example number of lines inspected, during of a code inspection session, proportion of original and new code lines inspected. Code inspection reports may be generated in a variety of formats, eg plain text or HTML, and automatically distributed to individual developers over the networked facility.

摘要: A system and method for facilitating tracking of issues utilize a series of graphical user interfaces (GUIs). A first GUI has a first plurality of information accepting fields operable to accept information defining the issue from an originator of the issue. In response to entry of said information defining the issue, the information is sent to an assigned party. The assigned party then uses a second GUI including a second plurality of information accepting fields to enter information related to a proposed resolution of the issue. The information related to a proposed resolution of the issue is then forwarded back to the originator to make a determination of whether the proposed resolution is satisfactory.
