摘要： The fluid valve assembly includes a hollow movable valve having an open-ended tubular fluid filter in the longitudinal bore of the valve and overlying transverse fluid discharge passages in the hollow valve to filter fluid before it flows through the transverse discharge passages from inside the valve. Downstream of the tubular fluid filter, the hollow valve includes one or more fluid metering passages which are moved relative to a valve seat to control a second flow of fluid from inside the valve. The increased fluid flow longitudinally in the valve bore when the valve is moved from the seat to effect the second fluid flow exerts a washing action on the tubular fuel filter to remove debris or foreign matter therefrom and carry same out through relatively large fluid passages not prone to clogging.

Various embodiments of the invention are illustrated and described, generally in connection with fluid handling systems of the types employed on marine vessels or the like where the invention finds particularly advantageous, but not necessarily exclusive, use. In the various embodiments of the invention illustrated it is possible to incorporate both the fuel delivery and fuel return functions in a single valve having one or two selectively positionable control element(s) or, alternatively, to provide two identical valves which respectively function to deliver fluid to, and return fluid from, the plurality of fluid utilization means.

摘要： A control valve is provided which is adapted to be connected between a pressure source, such as vacuum pump, and a pressure vessel so as to control the pressure in the vessel. The valve comprises a housing having a longitudinal bore therethrough which is connected between the pump and vessel, and a transversely movable valve body which controls the air flow through an air inlet in the housing. The valve body includes cylindrical and conical shaped portions which cooperates with reciprocally shaped portions of the housing to provide flow control. A filter disposed in the air inlet filters out foreign matter in the air. The bottom end of the valve body screws into the valve housing control knob formed integrally with the valve body controls translation of the valve body and hence opening and closing of the valve.

摘要： A back flow preventer for preventing contamination of a water supply. The preventer includes check valves which are enclosed in a casing comprised of a body and a single removable cover. The check valves are vertically disposed and spaced laterally from each other. The valves may be removed for servicing when the cover is removed without disturbing other parts of the device. Between the check valves is a relief valve which opens to drain the passage between the check valves when there is a drop in the supply line pressure sufficient to cause actual or potential reverse flow back toward the supply line. The check valves open by movement in opposite directions. Each check valve unit includes a tubular strainer through which all water must pass. The check valve units, while identically dimensioned as to the valve structure, include other parts of unequal dimensions which preclude accidental reversal of the units when being initially assembled or replaced after servicing.

The self-cleaning filter assembly filters control fluid admitted to the control chamber, and comprises a filter element cleaned by a brush each time the valve is opened or closed, thereby to prevent clogging of the filter during use.

摘要： A pressure reducer has a housing with an inlet and an outlet. A valve disc is located in the housing and a valve stem reciprocally and sealably moves in the valve disc with the outer end secured to a resilient diaphragm. The inner end of the valve stem extends into the inlet and is secured to a tubular closure member which is sealingly positioned in the inlet and is engageable with the valve disc. The surface of the tubular member subjected to pressure in the housing is adpated to equal the combined subjected to opposed pressure surfaces of the tubular member in the inlet and the end of the valve stem to which it is secured. Screens are provided around the tubular member.

摘要： A fluid mixing and diverter valve has a hollow body closed at one end with a tapered bore, hot and cold water inlets, a spout outlet, a spray outlet and a shower outlet. A tapered selector valve rotatably nested within said body and has a series of passages adapted on selective rotation so as to communicate with said inlets and selectively with one of said outlets. A cylindrical valve with passages therethrough is mounted for axial adjustments within said selector valve for variably controlling the amount of hot and cold water entering said cylindrical valve and the mixing chamber therein. Longitudinally adjustable and rotative valve stem extends through and is axially secured to the cylindrical valve for longitudinal adjustments in unison and at the same time slideably keyed to said rotative valve for rotating movements in unison. A control lever is mounted upon said body and connected at its one end to said stem whereby rotation of said lever in one plane effects selective rotary movements of the selector valve, and tilting movements of said lever in a second right angular related plane controls axial adjustments of the cylindrical valve.
