The actuator remains stationery while the spindle is rotated and a pair of skirts attached to the actuator cover the bearing assemblies. The jaws are supported in slots in the spindle and are part cylindrical to reduce stress in the spindle. The chuck is secured to a drive unit by bolts received in open slots in an attachment flange to facilitate attachment of the chuck after routine maintenance.

    摘要: A drill chuck has a body provided centered on an axis with an annular array of teeth and a plurality of jaws radially displaceable relative to the body between inner and outer positions. A tightening ring is axially fixed but rotatable about the axis on the body in a tightening direction and in an opposite loosening direction and a pair of screwthread formations between the tightening ring and the jaws move the jaws radially together on rotation of the tightening ring in the tightening direction and radially apart on rotation of the tightening ring in the loosening direction. A locking member engageable with the teeth and angularly fixed on the tightening ring is radially displaceable between a locking position engaging the teeth and preventing rotation of the body in the loosening direction and a freeing position permitting free rotation of the body relative to the tightening ring. A setting ring angularly displaceable on the tightening ring is formed with a pair of angularly spaced and radially open seats. A pair of angularly spaced abutments between the setting ring and the tightening ring limit angular movement of the sleeve on the ring. A cam on the setting ring is engageable with the locking member for displacing the locking member into the locking position when the setting ring is in one of its end positions and for displacing the locking member into the freeing position when the setting ring is in the other of its end positions.

    摘要: An integrated and collet and chuck device includes a body member configured to be non-movably fixed to a drive spindle of a driving tool. An outer sleeve member is disposed about a portion of the body member and is rotatable relative to the body member. The sleeve member comprises a front end defining a collet receiving chamber for carrying a conventional collet. A nut is configured with the sleeve member so as to be rotatable therewith relative to the body member. A screw member is disposed rotatably concentric within the nut. The screw and nut are threadedly engaged so that rotation of the nut drives the screw member in the longitudinal direction. The screw member has a collet engaging surface which presses the collet within the frusto-conical inner diameter surface of the sleeve thereby causing the collet to collapse and grip upon the shank of a tool carried therein.

    摘要: A drill chuck has a chuck body centered on and rotatable about an axis and formed with a plurality of jaw guides angularly spaced about the axis and all inclined axially forwardly and with an axially directed annular inner bearing track centered on the axis. Respective jaws in the guides are each formed with a row of teeth that can mesh with a screwthread of an adjustment sleeve generally axially fixed on the body and rotatable on the body in a tightening direction to displace the jaws axially forward and radially toward one another and in an opposite loosening direction to displace the jaws axially backward and radially away from one another. The adjustment sleeve is formed with an axially directed annular inner bearing track centered on the axis and axially confronting the inner bearing track of the chuck body and one of the inner bearing tracks is substantially planar and perpendicular to the axis and the other inner bearing track is substantially frustoconical and angled outwardly away from the one inner bearing track. An array of bearing balls is axially engaged between the inner bearing tracks and a locking ring rotatable on the chuck body and formed with a radially inwardly directed and substantially frustoconical outer track bearing radially inward on the bearing balls. A tightening screwthread on the locking ring axially displaces the locking ring relative to the chuck body on relative rotation of the adjustment sleeve and locking ring.

    摘要: A device for transmitting a rotary and/or percussive movement to a tool is formed in such a way that the associated tools having three grooves arranged in rotationally symmetrical fashion can likewise be clamped in drill chucks having three chuck jaws. In addition, the tool is to have the limited axial mobility required when hammer drilling or chiselling. For this purpose, the device is equipped with three rotary driving elements arranged in a location hole and projecting inwards. The rotary driving elements are arranged in rotationally symmetrical fashion, are of equal width and have flanks which extend approximately parallel to one another. One of the rotary driving elements is longer in the radial direction than the other two in order to guarantee positionally correct insertion of the tool and satisfactory locking of a locking body in a closed groove of the tool. The rotary driving elements are fixed immovably in the location hole. A blocking element is arranged at least at one side wall of the open groove and narrows its otherwise free cross-section.

A grip ring on the chuck body centered on the axis axially forward of the adjustment sleeve has an exposed outer surface provided with grip-enhancing formations. Formations on the body and on the grip ring axially and rotationally fix the grip ring on the chuck body.

    摘要: A drill chuck has a chuck body, a sleeve rotatable but axially nondisplaceable on the chuck body, and a plurality of jaws engaged between the sleeve and chuck body. Angled guides and a screwthread formed on the body, sleeve, and jaws radially displace the jaws toward each other on relative rotation of the sleeve and chuck body in a tightening direction. The sleeve and an axially displaceable locking-ring body have axially interengageable teeth that inhibit angular movement of the ring body and sleeve about the axis only in a front locking position of the ring. A projection is fixed in and extends radially from one of the bodies toward the other body which is formed with an angularly extending slot having angularly opposed and spaced end surfaces spaced apart angularly by a distance greater than the angular dimension of the projection and axially opposed and spaced side surfaces spaced axially by a distance generally equal to the axial dimension of the projection. An axially backwardly extending cutout opens axially forward into the slot adjacent one of the end surfaces thereof at a mouth having an angular dimension generally equal to the axial dimension of the projection.
