    摘要: The modular lumber stacker utilizes a single fork and board width sensor to load layers of boards with varying widths onto a lift table. The single-fork loader allows a fork lift to readily access the opposing side of the lift table to remove a multi-layer stack of boards. An adjustable unloading stop may be used to justify the stack by distributing the dead space in each layer between the boards to justify the stack to avoid jagged stack edges and improve stacking stability.

    摘要: A separator placer assembly is used with a lumber stacker, which creates a stack of lumber, includes a frame, a separator transfer assembly, and a plurality of transfer arm assemblies. The separator transfer assembly includes a continuous loop chain, preferably a plurality of continuous loop chains, with upper and lower reaches mounted to the frame. Separators are transferred to lugs on the chain at a first position along the lower reach. The plurality of transfer arm assemblies, each with first and second arms, is mounted to the frame beneath the lower reach at a transfer position downstream of the first position. A separator supported by the lugs is removed from the lugs by the arms and released onto the stack of lumber.

    摘要: An automated packaging line for C- or U-shaped profiles are related methods are disclosed. An example method includes transferring a first profile and a second profile to a first location, each of the first and second profiles having a u-shaped or c-shaped cross-section defining an external convex side and an internal concave side. The example method also includes rotating a first blade and a second blade about a horizontal central axis, where the first blade and the second blade are coupled to opposite ends of a pair of rotor arms including a first rotor arm and a second rotor arm. The first and second rotor arms rotate about axes that are parallel to and offset from each other. The example method also includes inserting the first profile into the first blade with the internal concave side of the first profile facing upwards as the first blade moves upward through its rotation. In addition, the example method includes rotating the second profile by engaging the first blade with the external convex side of the second profile to position the second profile with the internal concave side of the second profile facing downwards over of the internal concave side of the first profile to form a first duplex within the first blade.

    摘要: A high-speed stacker preferably includes dual stacking arms configured to operate complementary to one another. Most preferably, an electronic control system is provided to enable precise control over the speed and positioning of the stacker arms in both horizontal and vertical orientations. Linear motion devices (such as hydraulic cylinders, screw drive linear actuators, or other devices) can be used to position the arms horizontally and vertically in response to instructions from the electronic control system. In operation, the electronic control system preferably controls the speed and ramping of the stacker arms to repeatedly move courses of material from a feed system to a stacking area at a rapid rate with little maintenance. The high-speed stacker can also be configured to operate fewer than all of the stacker arms to facilitate faster stacking of smaller courses of material.
