摘要： Boiler optimization is included in on-line control of parallel boilers by multiplying the total heat per unit time which must be supplied to all parallel boilers by the percentage of the total heat which should be supplied to each boiler in order to substantially maximize energy efficiency. The result of such multiplication is the heat per unit time which should be supplied to each boiler. The fuel and air supplied to each boiler is controlled so as to supply the thus determined heat per unit time which not only results in maintenance of a desired header pressure but also results in substantially maximizing energy efficiency of the parallel boilers.

摘要： A waste-heat tank which is constructed as a pressure tank, is charged with coolant, and is connected after a pressure gasification. The waste-heat tank has a cooled feed device or tubular-fin-tubular construction which includes an ash container. The waste-heat tank also has a gas/liquid heat exchanger which includes equally long tubular elements which serve as heat transfer surfaces and are integrated into tubular or planar wall units. Each element of the tubular elements is formed of a tube having an axis which is located extending generally parallel to the container axis of the waste-heat tank. Each element itself is guided in a winding manner. Each tube opens via a feed tube into the finger-like end portion of the feed device. The finger-like end portion is coated with refractory material. Each tube is arranged in an individual tubular or channel-like chamber about a polygonal, preferably hexagonal, tubular or channel-like inner space arrangement.

摘要： A flue baffle may be removed from the narrow end of a frusto-conical flue. The baffle has a plurality of hinged plates secured to a tube, and slots in the tube beneath each plate. A slidable rod extends through the tube and has a plurality of pins which extend through the slots and contact the plates. When the rod slides down, the pins also descend, and the plates collapse. When the rod is lifted upwardly, the pins push the plates apart. A dowel may be secured to the tube to communicate with the rod to secure the rod in relation to the tube and spread the plates at a pre-determined point. The width of the plates is smaller than the narrow end of the flue so that the baffle may be removed when the plates are collapsed. The plates may be skewed on the tube so that all of the gases and heat which rise through the flue are diverted toward the flue wall by at least one of the plates without excessively obstructing the flow of gases out of the flue.
