    摘要: A heat exchanger is disclosed which is built up of a series of segments, which have each a fore-run and a return collector, which are interconnected by tubular or plate-shaped, substantially parallel, heat exchanging elements, in contact with cistern water through which flows the cooling medium of the heat pump. Adjacent heat exchanging segments have flow through in a reversed direction, and the fore-run and return collectors of adjacent segments are directly side by side. An electronic control unit which controls the pump and, optional valves, as a function of signals of temperature sensors on the roof surface, is included in the cistern and/or in conduits, so that during normal operation water is fed from the cistern onto the roof, is heated, and may be returned to the cistern. In times of the risk of icing of the water in the distribution pipes and on the roofing the pump and the valves are controlled in such a manner that feeding water to the roof is interrupted, and the distribution pipes, and optionally their feeding pipes, are drained off, while the pump can take care of a circulation of water in the cistern, so that the heat capacity of the water of the cistern, including at least part of the latent heat thereof, and optionally the geothermal energy fed through the cistern's wall, may be utilized.

    摘要: A plant for tempering a building, including an energy storage unit formed by ground heat exchangers coupled in parallel and each including a heat insulated leg and a non-insulated leg in thermal contact with surrounding soil. The heat exchangers are included in a circulating circuit for a circulation fluid which includes a circulation pump and room temperature keeping devices. The energy storage unit has a continuously varying temperature in a depth direction from a cold end to a warm end. The flow direction in the ground heat exchangers is controlled by a reversing valve such that for a warm keeping function, circulation fluid is received from the warm end and for a cool keeping function, circulation fluid is received from the cold end. The circulation pump is controlled such that the circulation flow brings about a temperature difference between the inlet and outlet of the ground heat exchangers that is constant with a value that can be calculated with the aid of the properties of the ground and the actual components.

Each louver has a hinge pin rotatably supported to form an axis of rotation. A connecting member interconnects a plurality of the hinge pins to transmit rotational movement between those hinge pins. The connecting member is attached to each hinge pin by a flexible connection enabling the hinge pin to rotate relative to the connecting member. The connecting member is disposed within a member which shields the connecting member from the air flow.

When the system is turned on from its inoperative state, the electromagnetic valve is forcibly opened for a predetermined period of time for the control system for a fan coil to sufficiently detect the temperature of cool or hot water, and to prevent an erroneous change of operation.

    摘要: Air conditioning apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus is a terminal of the mixing type, receiving primary conditioned air, and delivering that air or a mixture including that air and recirculated air as required, for air conditioning. The rate at which primary conditioned air is delivered to the zone is varied between a maximum and a predetermined lesser rate as the air conditioning load on the space varies between a maximum and an intermediate load. The apparatus also includes a blower, nozzle or the like for inducing a flow of air from outside, and for mixing the induced air with primary conditioned air, so that such mixture is delivered to the zone. According to preferred embodiments which are disclosed, the apparatus is effective to deliver to the zone such a mixture of primary conditioned air and induced air under all conditions of air conditioning load on the zone. One disclosed mixing unit induces a flow of air from a closed zone surrounding the induction portion, and provides temperature control by admitting primary air, room air, heated air or mixtures, as required, to the closed zone.

    摘要: Air conditioning systems particularly suitable for large buildings located where water is not available for evaporative cooling to provide a heat sink. The condensate from the conditioned air is collected at the cooling and dehumidifying coils and is used as make-up water for one or more evaporative cooling towers which act as the heat sink. One of the cooling towers provides cooling solely by conduction with outside air. Air is exhausted from the conditioned space through one of the cooling towers so as to utilize the evaporation of the condensate in the low temperature and low relative humidity air. The invention also provides for improved operation and efficiency in systems without regard to utilizing condensate for evaporative cooling.
