摘要: A field joint transfer system for transferring a hot field joint along a curved path between a tensioner and a stinger during deployment of a pipeline from a pipelay vessel. The system comprises a plurality of adjustable pipe support units defining a curved path between the tensioner and the stinger, wherein one or more of the pipe support units can be moved out of engagement with the pipeline to allow the hot fieldjoint to pass the respective pipe support unit without contact, while maintaining support for the pipeline along the curved path. A mobile pipe support may be provided on an overhead gantry to follow the pipe as it passes along the curved path.

摘要: Additive manufacturing of a pipe is disclosed. A lowering mechanism is configured to be coupled with respect to a platform and to lower a pipe through an opening in the platform. An extrusion head is configured to receive material and selectively extrude the material via a nozzle. A gantry is coupled to the extrusion head and is configured to move the extrusion head to an identified location. A controller is coupled to the gantry and configured to direct the gantry to move the extrusion head based on pipe data that identifies a geometry of the pipe. A stabilizer mechanism is configured to maintain the pipe in a desired position during the extrusion of the material.

For example, some embodiments may contain an upper structure, which contains at least four legs connected to one another by a number of bracing members, and a number of attachment points through which the upper structure can be lifted, and a lower structure, which contains at least four posts that can be connected to, and disconnected from as needed, the four legs of the upper structure, two spaced mud mats on which the posts stand, and at least two horizontal arms that can be attached to the posts, rotate about the posts, connect to and be locked with the posts on the other mud mat, and be lifted to an appropriate height to provide suitable support at the pipeline freespan location.

摘要: In general, a conductor removal system 1 comprises a conductor sectioning tower which can be used to automate lifting and landing of various conductor sections. In most embodiments, the conductor sectioning tower can selectively and controllably go between an initially compact position to a raised, substantially vertical position with respect to the conductor removal system's transport frame. Conductors are cut creating a severed conductor section which can be positioned onto a conductor landing cart for further removal processing.
