    摘要: The present invention relates to a dual venturi for a combustor and, specifically, to a dual venturi for a combustor, which adjusts the amount of gas and air supplied to a burner of a hot water heater and has a motor combined with a damper in order to increase a turn-down ratio (TDR), such that the damper is rotated by the driving of the motor so as to simultaneously open or close secondary air and gas inlets, thereby enabling efficient heating control. The present invention has a separate opening/closing means which is capable of controlling, in two stages, the amount of air and gas flowing into the combustor such as the hot water heater, wherein the opening/closing means comprises the motor and the damper, and the damper is rotated by the driving of the motor so as to simultaneously open or close the secondary air and gas inlets, thereby enabling the control of the amount of air and gas.

    摘要: An improved apparatus for on-line coal flow control in vertical spindle mills comprising a plurality of independently adjustable flow control elements and positioning rods that adjust the positioning of those flow control elements. Each flow control element is positioned within the discharge turret of the vertical spindle mill along the outer wall of the discharge turret proximate the entrance to its corresponding coal outlet pipe. The adjustable rods are seated on the side or top of the discharge turret of the coal pulverizer and are connected to the flow control element horizontally or vertically as the case may be. The flow control elements can be independently rotated by +/−90 degrees about the positioning rod axis, moved back and forth in the horizontal plane, and can also be moved up and down in the vertical plane. Therefore, each flow control element has three degrees-of-freedom: one rotational and two linear displacements. The apparatus improves boiler performance by making it possible to operate the boiler with reduced pollutant levels (e.g. NOx, CO) and increased combustion efficiency. Automated computer control of the control surfaces is contemplated.

    摘要: An extension assembly for use with a damper assembly and for extending the damper assembly control shaft. The extension assembly is provided for coupling of a handle to the control shaft and includes an extension member, a locking member and a securing member. The extension member includes a connecting portion having a closed end and an open end. The open end includes a bore dimensioned to operatively receive the control shaft. The extension member further includes a shaft portion extending longitudinally from the closed end of the connecting portion. The shaft portion includes two parallel flat sides merging transversely with two opposite arcuate sides and dimensioned to be received by an aperture in the handle. The locking member provides the function of locking the control shaft within bore. The securing member ensures that the handle will remain a fixed distance from duct and provides a lock tight surface for a nut to engage and hold the handle.
