Abstract: The exemplary embodiments relate to signaling between a user equipment (UE) and a cell over the unlicensed spectrum. The UE may receive a signal broadcast by a cell of the network over a channel in the unlicensed spectrum. The signal includes a set of channel state information reference signals (CSI-RS) each corresponding to a set of synchronization signal blocks (SSB) and is transmitted during a discovery reference signal (DRS) window. The UE may then determine a location of the set of CSI-RS within the DRS window and perform an operation based on the set of CSI-RS.

Further, the reported capability indexes can be included in a CSI group-based report or in a standalone report.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for controlling behavior for overriding grants for channel state information (CSI) feedback. A user equipment (UE) may control override of a first grant of a first radio resource by a second grant of a second radio resource. The UE determines that the second radio resource at least partially overlaps with the first radio resource. The UE also determines a physical layer priority of the first grant of the first radio resource and the second grant of the second radio resource. The physical layer priority is based on at least one of the first grant of the first radio resource and the second grant of the second radio resource being configured for transmitting CSI feedback over a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) to a base station. The UE then generates a transmission according to the physical layer priority.

Abstract: Beam failure recovery (BFR) in a multiple Downlink Control Information (mDCI) mode may include receiving, by a user equipment (UE), a Downlink Reference Signal (DL RS) set from a next generation Node B (gNB). The DL RS set may be associated with a link between the UE and the gNB and indicate beam failure detection (BFD) is to be performed for the link. The BFR may further include performing, by the UE, a beam failure detection (BFD) for the link using the DL RS set, and performing, by the UE, a candidate beam detection (CBD) for the link, the CBD determining a candidate beam for the link by determining a beam having a reference signal receiving power (RSRP) that is larger than an RSRP threshold. The BFR may further include transmitting, by the UE, a beam failure recovery request (BFRQ) indicating the link to the gNB.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses are provided for determining a number of physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) candidates and non-overlapped control channel elements (CCEs) for a UE configured with a plurality of component carriers having more than one subcarrier spacing (SCS). The plurality of component carriers are assigned to a number of cell groups. Each cell group includes a scheduling component carrier providing scheduling information for the other component carriers in the cell group. A reference slot window is selected based on an SCS of component carriers assigned to each cell group. And a number of PDCCH candidates and non-overlapped CCEs per the reference slot window are determined based on a number of and SCS of the component carriers in each cell group. Control information in a downlink radio frame is monitored by the UE based on the number of PDCCH candidates and non-overlapped CCEs.
