Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods and devices for wireless communication of an apparatus, e.g., a UE and/or a base station. In one aspect, the apparatus may receive, from a base station, at least one SSB. The apparatus may also determine a RSRP of the at least one SSB. Additionally, the apparatus may transmit, to the base station if the RSRP of all of the at least one SSB is less than a threshold, an indication of a reduced UE capability of the UE during a RACH procedure. The apparatus may also transmit, to the base station if the RSRP of one of the at least one SSB is greater than or equal to the threshold, the indication of the reduced UE capability of the UE after entering into a RRC connected state upon completion of the RACH procedure.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment may receive control signaling that includes a first parameter that indicates a first quantity of symbol groups and a second parameter that indicates a second quantity of resource block groups. The UE may receive a grant allocating periodic resources for transmitting a set of transport blocks. The UE may transmit a feedback message indicating whether resources of the grant are unused by the UE to transmit one or more transport blocks of the set of transport blocks, the feedback message generated according with the first parameter and the second parameter of the control signaling. The feedback message may include a set of values, where each value may correspond to a respective symbol group and resource group (e.g., a resource group pair).

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described that may enable a user equipment (UE) to monitor a shared spectrum to receive control signaling and data transmissions associated with different transmission time intervals (TTIs). For example, a base station may communicate with a UE according to a first transmission mode during a first, shortened TTI. The base station may transmit a downlink control channel for a shortened TTI based on a subset of a number of blind decodes or control channel elements. Additionally, a downlink control channel for a shortened TTI may contain grants for multiple TTIs. In some cases, the base station may transmit a signaling to the UE via a reference signal, downlink control channel, or radio resource control which may indicate a change from the shortened-TTI transmission mode to a transmission mode with a TTI duration that is longer than the first, shortened TTI duration.

An energy harvesting device may transmit energy status information for the energy harvesting device, where the energy harvesting device may cycle between an energy harvesting mode and a wireless communication mode. During the wireless communication mode, the energy harvesting device may receive control signaling indicating to apply a first feedback process type (e.g., a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process) of multiple different feedback process types based on the energy status information. The energy harvesting device may receive a control message scheduling transmission of a message to the energy harvesting wireless device in a resource of a shared data channel. Accordingly, the energy harvesting device may monitor the resource for the message based on the control message and may transmit feedback information for the message in accordance with the indicated feedback process type.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a message indicating multiple contention-based resource sets dedicated for the transmission of scheduling requests, where each contention-based resource set is associated with one or more respective contentions. The one or more respective conditions may be associated with a packet delay threshold, a buffer size threshold, or a probability function. The UE may transmit a scheduling request to request uplink resources for the UE using a resource of a contention-based resource set based on satisfaction of the one or more respective conditions of the contention-based resource set. In some examples, a remaining packet delay budget of an uplink message at the UE may satisfy the packet delay threshold of the contention-resource set. As such, the UE may randomly select the resource, from the contention-based resource set, to use for transmission of the scheduling request.

A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network entity, control signaling indicating an erasure encoding pattern information associated with an erasure encoding scheme supported by the UE, and may receive scheduling information that allocates multiple resources on a shared channel for communication with the network entity. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described in which a wideband bandwidth part (BWP) may be used for periodic communications bursts, and a user equipment (UE) may switch to a narrowband BWP between the communications bursts, which may provide reduced power consumption and reduced processing overhead at the UE. An end of burst indicator may be provided with the wideband BWP communications that indicates a timing for switching from the wideband BWP to the narrowband BWP. The end of burst indicator may be provided prior to a last downlink shared channel communication of the communications burst, and the UE may switch to the narrowband BWP upon completion of the last downlink shared channel communication. The UE may switch from the narrowband BWP to the wideband BWP for a subsequent communications burst autonomously or based on an explicit indication.
