Abstract:
A universal lighting source controller including integral power metering for use with substantially all light source types including fluorescent, incandescent, magnetic low voltage, electronic low voltage, light emitting diode (“LED”), high density discharge (“HID”), neon, and cold cathode. The lighting source controller includes a line voltage dimming circuit that can control the intensity of light sources in a lighting circuit and measures the actual amount of power consumed by the light sources. The line voltage dimming circuit includes a triac circuit for controlling this intensity and current and voltage detection circuits for measuring the power consumption. The lighting source controller can also include low voltage dimming circuits to provide a control signal to light sources having electronic or magnetic dimming ballasts to set the intensity of these light sources.
Abstract:
A module clip for use in grounding a photovoltaic module through electrical connection with a racking assembly on which the photovoltaic module is mountable. The module clip includes upper and lower clip jaws at least partially defining a press-fit channel for press fitting the module clip onto a lower flange of the photovoltaic module. A piercing member on at least one of the upper and lower clip jaws pierces an electrically non-conductive outer layer on the lower flange of the photovoltaic module and contacts an electrically conductive material of the lower flange as the module clip is press fit onto the lower flange. A lead-connecting member of the module clip is used in securing a ground wire to the module clip.
Abstract:
A fusible switch disconnect device includes a housing adapted to receive at least one fuse therein, and a switchable contact for connecting the fuse to circuitry. A tripping mechanism and control circuitry are provided to displace the switchable contact, as well as multiple other components in the device, in response to a predetermined electrical condition.
Abstract:
A damming device for a conductor in a cable gland connector is described herein. The damming device can include a first portion having a first thickness of a flexible elastomeric material disposed between a first diameter and a second diameter. The damming device can also include a second portion having a second thickness of the flexible elastomeric material disposed between a third diameter and the second diameter. The damming device can also include a hole having the third diameter. The first diameter is greater than the second diameter, and the second diameter is greater than the third diameter. Further, the first thickness is greater than the second thickness. The damming device can be disposed, under tension, within a slot formed between a top portion of a compound chamber and a bottom portion of a union body.
Abstract:
A conductor receiver is described herein for engaging a conductor. The conductor receiver can include a stationary portion for receiving and securing a bottom portion of the conductor. The conductor receiver can also include a movable portion that is coupled to the stationary portion and has an open position and a closed position. When the movable portion is in the closed position, the movable portion secures a top portion of the conductor. The conductor receiver can also have a channel with a number of rows positioned width-wise within the channel. Each row has at least one member made of conductive material, where each member has a normal position and a retracted position. When the conductor is positioned within the channel, each member is in the retracted position.
Abstract:
A ground power connector saver includes a block, a socket group, and a body. The block includes a plurality of cavities, each having an inside dimension and a pivot engagement. The socket group includes a plurality of sockets, each including a female tyne section having an outside dimension and a pivot engagement. Each tyne section is positioned within a cavity, wherein the outside dimension is smaller than the inside dimension. The pivot engagements are engaged to support the sockets in the cavities, thereby enabling the sockets to pivot within the cavities at the pivot engagements. Each socket also includes a male pin contact having a configuration similar to an aircraft fixed connector. The body houses the block and the tyne sections and includes a flexible portion that flexibly seals respective ends of the tyne sections in the cavities, wherein the male pin contacts extend from the body.
Abstract:
Devices, networks, systems and methods for coordinating industrial control and monitoring communications on multi-path radio frequency transmission mesh networks include establishing path metrics allowing a respective comparison of a plurality of available communication paths between neighboring radios communicating in the mesh network. Replies to route requests may be delayed based on the path metrics of available paths for message transmission to ensure that the best available connection routes through the mesh network can be understood and utilized.
Abstract:
A transient voltage surge suppression device includes a varistor assembly having a compact thickness, and a disconnect element carrying a separable contact along a linear axis to disconnect the varistor element from external circuitry.
