摘要： A retention system is for an electrical switching apparatus. The electrical switching apparatus includes a frame having a number of slots, a cover coupled to the frame, an electrical component enclosed by the frame and the cover, separable contacts enclosed by the frame and the cover, and an operating mechanism to open and close the separable contacts. The retention system includes: at least one bundle of wires having a plurality of individual wires extending through a corresponding one of the number of slots to be electrically connected to the electrical component; and at least one restriction mechanism each comprising an insulative sleeve surrounding a corresponding one of the at least one bundle of wires, and a blocking member connected to the insulative sleeve. The blocking member engages the frame to prevent undesired movement of the individual wires with respect to the corresponding one of the number of slots.

摘要： A conductor receiver is described herein for engaging a conductor. The conductor receiver can include a stationary portion for receiving and securing a bottom portion of the conductor. The conductor receiver can also include a movable portion that is coupled to the stationary portion and has an open position and a closed position. When the movable portion is in the closed position, the movable portion secures a top portion of the conductor. The conductor receiver can also have a channel with a number of rows positioned width-wise within the channel. Each row has at least one member made of conductive material, where each member has a normal position and a retracted position. When the conductor is positioned within the channel, each member is in the retracted position.

The breaker is detachably joined with the electric device by an engaging member including an engaging unit and an engagement receiving unit. The engaging unit and the engagement receiving unit are installed at the joint surfaces of the breaker and the electric device, respectively, and detachably engaged with each other.

摘要： A mounting fixture for fast installation of switch connectors is provided. The mounting fixture is encased in a molded housing with a plurality of dividers separating an interior of the housing into a plurality of compartments. An elongated pin is adjacent to one end wall of the housing for receiving the metal pin of the connector and an elongated anchor slot is adjacent to another end wall for anchoring a metal inlay in each compartment. Each metal inlay is formed with two orthogonal planes, an anchor plate and a resilient plate. The resilient plate has a notch on the far edge, such that when the copper wires of the electric cable are inserted into the mounting fixture through the wire hole, the notch will be able to clamp on the inserted wires by the counter force from the resilient plate.

A third conductive wire can be inserted through the other oblique notch of the main body into an insertion hole of the connecting plate to change the switch structure into one with three sets of wires.
