    Abstract: A protective cover is provided in which connectors on a distal end of a motherboard are protected with the protective cover in a closed configuration. Sliding the motherboard into position within a chassis with the protective cover in the closed configuration automatically causes the protective cover to assume an open configuration, thereby exposing the connectors. Withdrawing the motherboard from the chassis results in automatically closing the protective cover through the operation of biasing elements (e.g., springs) that bias the protective cover into a normally closed configuration.

    Abstract: An air baffle insertable between a chassis wall and a computer component such as a GPU and heat sink mounted on a GPU tray to divert air flow to the computer component is disclosed. The air baffle includes a single sheet having a bottom panel, a top panel, and a pair of parallel side walls. Each of the parallel side walls are connected to the bottom and top panels. A first end wall is joined to the side walls and the top and bottom panel. The first end wall directs air flow toward the computer component.

    Abstract: A locking mechanism for securing different expansion cards in a slot of a chassis of a computing device is disclosed. The locking mechanism includes a base and a main body. The base is coupled to the chassis and movable between an open position and a closed position. The main body is coupled to the base and movable between a first orientation and a second orientation. When the base is in the closed position and the main body is in the first orientation, a first mating feature of the main body engages an expansion card having a first form factor inserted into the slot. When the base is in the closed position and the main body is in the second orientation, the second mating feature engages an expansion card having a second form factor inserted into the slot of the chassis.

    Abstract: A method of maintaining a server rack within a predetermined temperature range, including the removal of heat from the server rack by both conductive and convective heat transfer. Thermal contact structure is placed between the server rack and a heat sink. The heat sink may be in the form of a housing containing a radiator in one wall, and a bank of fans in an opposite wall to draw a coolant gas through the radiator. The coolant gas contacts the heat sink and a portion of the coolant gas is directed towards the server rack. Cooling liquid is supplied to the radiator by a chiller, which can be adjacent to the heat sink or located remotely from the heat sink.

    Abstract: A lever assembly for coupling a computer module to a chassis includes a base lever, a locking tab, and a flexible element positioned between the base lever and the locking tab. The base lever is rotatably coupled to the computer module. The base lever is rotatable between an installed position and an opened position. The locking tab is rotatably coupled to the computer module for engaging a locking surface on the chassis when in a locked position. The locking tab is rotatable between the locked position and an unlocked position. The flexible element is configured to bias the locking tab into the locked position when the base lever is in the installed position. Rotation of the base lever to the opened position induces rotation of the locking tab to the unlocked position.

    Abstract: A charging device and method thereof is provided. The charging device is connected to a power supply device. The charging device includes a detection pin, a switch module, and a control circuit. The detection pin has a voltage level which reflects whether the charging device is connected to an electronic device. The control circuit is connected to the detection point and the switch module. According to the voltage level of the detection pin, the control module controls the switch module to be in an open state if the control circuit determines that the charging device is not connected to the electronic device.

    Abstract: A fan arrangement to generate increased airflow in a chassis is disclosed. The chassis includes one area having electronic components. A first row of fan modules is located in the chassis relative to the electronic components to generate airflow in a direction of the length of the chassis through the electronic components. The first row of fan modules includes at least one gap between the fan modules. A second row of fan modules is located a predetermined distance from the first row. The second row of fan modules includes at least one gap between the fan modules. Each of the fan modules in the second row is staggered from one of the fan modules of the first row. A first panel connects one of fan modules in the first row with one of the fan modules of the second row to create a channel.

    Abstract: A server rack for supporting a plurality of servers of varying heights includes opposing side walls each including one or more vertical tracks. A first column of holes is disposed in one of the vertical tracks and a second column of holes disposed in a corresponding opposing vertical track of the opposing side wall. A third and fourth column of holes are disposed adjacent to and corresponding to the first column of holes and the second column of holes. A first pair of opposing rails are each disposed on the opposing side walls. Each of the opposing rails are mechanically secured to the one or more vertical tracks at the first and second columns of holes. The first pair of opposing rails are configured to support a first server having a first height. For the first and second columns of holes, the spacing between holes is predefined to accommodate opposing rails to support servers of the first height. For the third and fourth columns of holes, the spacing between holes is predefined to accommodate rails to support servers of a second different height and a different size than the first server.

    Abstract: A communication device includes a ground metal element and an antenna element. The antenna element includes a first metal element, a second metal element, a third metal element, a first capacitive element, a second capacitive element, an inductive element, and a signal feeding source. A first connection point of the first metal element is coupled through the first capacitive element to the third metal element. A second connection point of the first metal element is coupled through the second capacitive element to the ground metal element. A third connection point of the second metal element is coupled through the inductive element to the third metal element. A shorting end of the third metal element is coupled to the ground metal element. The signal feeding source is coupled between the first metal element and the third metal element or the ground metal element.
