Abstract: A brake control device includes a first braking unit and a second braking unit for applying braking force to wheels of a vehicle. The second braking unit generates auxiliary braking force when actual braking force generated by the first braking unit is short by a predetermined amount. This brake control device includes a determination unit that determines whether a delay correlation value correlated with response delay of the actual braking force is within an allowable range when the auxiliary braking force is generated, and a control unit that executes auxiliary reduction control for reducing the auxiliary braking force when the determination unit determines that the delay correlation value is within the allowable range.

Abstract: A braking control device drives an electric motor based on a command pressing force corresponding to the required wheel braking force, and presses a friction member against a rotation member fixed to the wheel to generate a wheel braking force. The braking control device includes: a sensor for detecting wheel speed; a sensor for detecting the actual pressing force applied by the friction member; and a controller for calculating the target pressing force based on the command pressing force, and controlling the motor so that the target and actual pressing forces match. The controller calculates wheel slip state quantity based on the wheel speed, and executes, based on the slip state quantity, slip suppression control for reducing the degree of wheel slippage. Based on the actual pressing force at the start of the slip suppression control, the controller reduces the command pressing force and calculates the target pressing force.

Abstract: A brake ECU automatically pressurizes a servo chamber of a master cylinder, and then determines whether a single system failure has occurred in the master system. When the single system failure is detected, a refresh drive is executed so that a fluid pressure chamber provided to the master cylinder is subjected to a negative pressure to cause a brake fluid to forcibly flow from a reservoir into the fluid pressure chamber via a seal member provided inside of the master cylinder and foreign matters caught by the seal member are thus washed out. The brake ECU again automatically pressurizes the servo chamber, determines whether the single system failure has been resolved, and notifies the occurrence of the single system failure when the single system failure has not been resolved.

Abstract: A braking force control apparatus includes a fluid pressure generation mechanism, a braking mechanism and an electric control unit. The fluid pressure generation mechanism causes a braking mechanism to generate a required fluid pressure. The braking mechanism applies a braking force depending on the required fluid pressure to each of wheels through the pressing of a braking member against a rotating rotary member due to the required fluid pressure. The electronic control unit performs, when the required fluid pressure is generated and a vehicle state shifts from a running state to a stopped state at a first time point, stop-time boost control to boost the required fluid pressure at and after the first time point.

Abstract: This electric braking device for a vehicle imparts to the wheels of the vehicle a braking torque in accordance with the output of an electric motor. A vehicle body-side electronic control unit calculates a command value for the output of the electric motor on the basis of the amount of operation performed on a braking operation member.
