Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive signaling that configures a downlink bandwidth for a broadcast channel transmission (e.g., a physical downlink control channel transmission). The UE may determine a bandwidth of the capability is less than the downlink bandwidth, and monitor search space occasions in a period to receive samples of the broadcast channel. The period and the search space occasions may be associated with a control resource set and a search space set. The UE may receive the samples in non-overlapping subbands of the bandwidth according to the bandwidth capability, and detect the broadcast channel based on the samples. The UE may additionally monitor repeated transmission occasions in the period based on detecting the broadcast channel to detect a second broadcast channel (e.g., a physical downlink shared channel).

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In a wireless communications system, a user equipment (UE) may receive control signaling indicating a first semi-static configuration for transmitting uplink signaling and a second semi-static configuration for receiving downlink signaling. In some cases, the UE may operate using half-duplex communications and may monitor for a transmission direction conflict between the first semi-static configuration and the second semi-static configuration during a transmission time interval. The UE may communicate, according to a priority rule, one of an uplink signal in accordance with the first semi-static configuration or a downlink signal in accordance with the second semi-static configuration during the transmission time interval based on the monitoring. Additionally, or alternatively, the UE may drop one of the uplink signal or downlink signal according to the priority rule.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may transmit multiple repetitions of a paging early indication (PEI) signal to a user equipment (UE) to indicate that the UE is to receive paging signaling in a paging occasion. In some cases, a PEI occasion for transmitting a PEI repetition may have a scheduling conflict. For example, a PEI occasion may collide with other downlink signaling. A UE may implement techniques to resolve scheduling conflicts or collisions for PEI repetitions. For example, the UE may be configured to receive either colliding PEI signaling or colliding downlink signaling based on priorities of the signaling. Additionally, or alternatively, PEI signaling may be shifted (e.g., delayed) until after the downlink signaling ends. In some cases, a UE may be configured with a subset of blind decoding hypotheses for PEI decoding.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. According to one or more aspects, a user equipment (UE) may identify, for a set of time periods associated with a reference signal associated with a physical downlink shared channel, an overlap between a first set of frequency resources allocated for the reference signal and a second set of frequency resources that are scheduled to puncture the first set of resources and that are unavailable for scheduling on the physical downlink shared channel. The UE may determine a remaining set of frequency resources from the first set of frequency resources based on the overlap, and a subset of frequency resources from the remaining set of frequency resources based on a reference signal processing configuration. The UE may then process the reference signal in the subset of frequency resources based on the reference signal processing configuration.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may receive a downlink control message from a base station scheduling multiple downlink messages and indicating a first offset for communicating a first feedback message of multiple feedback messages including feedback information for the multiple downlink messages. The UE may additionally receive, from the base station, a second offset for communicating the remaining feedback messages of the multiple feedback messages after communicating the first feedback message. The UE may transmit the first feedback message a quantity of resources equal to the first offset after receiving a first downlink message. The UE may then transmit the remaining feedback messages a quantity of resources equal to the second offset after transmitting the first feedback message. Each of the feedback messages may include feedback information for one downlink message.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a paging early indication that indicates one or more paging occasions (POs) in a quantity of paging frames based at least in part on a maximum quantity of paging frames. The UE may process a physical downlink control channel communication received in a PO of the one or more POs. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to wireless communications, and more particularly, to techniques for a UE to measure sounding reference signal (SRS) transmission from another UE. The measurements results may be used, for example, by a serving cell for interference mitigation purposes. For example, the disclosed techniques may include a first UE receiving a configuration for measuring SRS transmitted by a second UE; determining a first bandwidth part (BWP) associated with the configuration; determining a frequency reference point for the SRS to be measured; determining SRS measurement resources, based on one or more parameters of the configuration and the frequency reference point; and measuring SRS transmitted by the second UE on the determined SRS measurement resources.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. According to one or more aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration message from a base station. The configuration message may configure the UE based on one or more identifiers associated with a group of UEs. The UE may determine at least one identifier based on receiving the configuration message, and may monitor a signal based on the at least one identifier. In some cases, the signal may indicate whether the UE should skip an upcoming duration associated with a discontinuous reception. The UE may then communicate with the base station, based on monitoring the signal.
