摘要: The optical fiber sensor device comprises a probe light supply unit, an optical fiber sensor unit, and a polarization state measuring unit. The probe light supply unit generates and outputs a polarization switched light beam by alternately switching a polarized CW light beam in polarization directions orthogonal to each other with elapse of time. The optical fiber sensor unit includes a loop-state optical fiber into which the polarization switched light beam is input and which outputs a light wave reflecting a change of birefringence according to a stress applied from an outside in the polarization switched light beam. The polarization state measuring unit observes polarization states of the respective light waves propagating clockwise and counterclockwise through the optical fiber. The polarization state measuring unit calculates an angular velocity vector ωb defined by an equation that specifies a relationship between a temporal change rate dsout(t)/dt of a Stokes vector sout(t) giving a polarization state of the light wave from the optical fiber and the Stokes vector sout(t) for each of the clockwise and counterclockwise light waves. The angular velocity vector ωb gives a direction of a rotation center axis and a rotation angular velocity of the Stokes vector sout(t).

摘要: A medium conveyance device includes a placement body having a bundle conveyance face on which a medium bundle is conveyed. A Scott-Russell body includes an abutting portion that abuts the medium bundle. A movement section causes the Scott-Russell body to abut against the medium bundle and moves the Scott-Russell body along the bundle conveyance face in first or second directions, so as to move the medium bundle along the bundle conveyance face in the direction. The conveyance state switching section switches to a first state in which the Scott-Russell body is caused to abut against a second direction side of the medium bundle and conveyance of the medium bundle toward the first direction is enabled, or to a second state in which the Scott-Russell body is caused to abut against a first direction side of the medium bundle and conveyance of the medium bundle toward the second direction is enabled.

摘要: A wireless communicator includes network processors transmitting data to and receiving data from respective different networks; a media access control (MAC) setter receiving pieces of information on a MAC layer from the plurality of network processors and storing the pieces of information on the MAC layer; and a MAC processor performing operations on media access control on the basis of the pieces of information stored in the MAC setter. In the wireless communicator, the network processors supply a frame signal containing network identification information corresponding to the respective network processors to the MAC processor. Thus, it is possible to provide a wireless communicator which can give a notice to every network processor even when broadcast frames are received and which can make a reply even when beacon request command frames are received.

摘要: An optical device includes an optical waveguide provided on a principal surface of a substrate. The optical waveguide includes a core and a cladding provided around the core. The cladding is configured by a substance having a refractive index smaller than 71.4% of the refractive index of the core. The core has constituent atoms substantially forming a diamond lattice structure. The optical waveguide has a light input/output part through which a light beam is input and/or output. The light input/output part decreases stepwise in thickness towards an output end while tapering down in its width. The core is provided in the light input/output part to have a (111) plane or an equivalent plane to the (111) plane exposed on a face of a riser of the stepwise thickness of the light input/output part.
