摘要： Personalised calibration methods and devices adapted to identify acoustical corrections to be applied for in-ear dosimetry. The acoustical corrections allow to convert a measured acoustic pressure within the ear-canal of a user to an equivalent acoustic pressure at the ear-drum and/or in free-field. The methods and devices also allow to distinguish noises originating from the user from noises of the environment in the ear occluded by an earplug. Such a distinction is done using two microphones to simultaneously measure the acoustic pressure within the ear-canal and outside the ear-canal. The device may be used to determine a cumulative sound pressure level dosage for which a user being exposed to surrounding sounds over a predetermined period of time.

摘要： A method and apparatus to monitor the weight of a silo or tank is disclosed. The system is adapted to be attached to a leg of the silo and comprises a load cell, a support member anchored to the ground and a lifting device attached to the load cell and to the support member. The load cell comprises two extremities that are attached to the silo leg and comprises an aperture there between. The aperture is preferably threaded to receive the lifting device, such as a bolt. The bolt is rotated using a tool as to induce a movement of the load cell along the axis of the bolt thereby lifting the load cell and the attached silo leg. Strain gauges are attached to the load cell to measure the variation in an electric or optical signal that is translated in human readable data using a monitoring device.

摘要： A cold water saponification method is disclosed. The method is for preferred use in industrial applications such as mining operations wherein saponification of fatty acids is required. Broadly, the method comprises the steps of filling a tank with a solution comprising water, a base and fatty acids, installing a mixer capable of creating a vortex in order to effectively saponify fatty acid particles. The use of a high-shear mixer installed vertically has been proven successful in saponifying fatty acids in cold water.

The system may first process and manipulate, through resizing, compression and frame limitations, a source content stream through a stream processor and into a destination canvas before being sent to a peer connection. 摘要： The present invention discloses a safety devices adapted to prevent workers from going into hazardous environment, such as underground using the faulty safety device. As a safety device, typically embodied as a cap lamp, must be charged prior to each use, the device is adapted to detect when the device is removed from the charger. The device starts to blink continuously when disconnected from the charger. An automated test procedure is completed on the device. The user may also complete a manual portion of the test procedure to make the device usable. When the test procedure is completed successfully, the lamp stops blinking. If the test procedure is not successful, the lamp continues blinking to effectively prevent user from using a faulty device.
