Abstract: Method of forming colloidal lignin particles, comprising the step of dissolving lignin in a mixture of organic solvents, feeding of the said solution into water, and forming acolloidal dispersion of lignin. The used solvents are recovered with methods such as distillation and reused in the process. Water is removed from the colloidal dispersion by ultrafiltration and reused in the process. The concentrated colloidal dispersion is dried by spray drying. The invention can be used in applications where the colloidal nature of lignin will afford an advantage over bulk lignin.

Abstract: The present invention concerns a process for producing calcium carbonate from a calcium-containing alkaline slag material, the process containing the steps of extracting the alkaline slag material in a series of extraction steps, including at least 2 extraction steps, using extraction solvent(s) containing salt in an aqueous solution, whereby a calcium-containing filtrate and a residual slag is formed in each extraction step, separating the residual slag from the filtrate after each extraction step, carrying each residual slag to the following extraction in the series of extractions, to be used as raw material in said following extraction, and discarding the residual slag separated from the last extraction, carrying each filtrate to the previous extraction in the series of extractions, to be used as extraction solvent in said previous extraction, and carrying the first filtrate, separated from the first extraction step, to a carbonating step, carbonating calcium as calcium carbonate from the first filtrate, the first filtrate also used as the carbonation solvent, and using a carbonation gas, whereby calcium carbonate precipitates, separating and recovering the calcium carbonate from the remaining carbonation solvent, and recycling the remaining carbonation solvent to the last extraction step in the series of extraction steps, to be used as extraction solvent.

Abstract: Various example embodiments relate to enhancing excitation and output power in multi-transmitter wireless power transfer system. Transmitter coils are arranged such that they are substantially uncoupled from each other. The transmitter coils are activated one by one to measure induced voltage across adjacent transmitter coils. The induced voltages are used to determine mutual inductance ratios of transmitter-receiver pairs to obtain current distribution coefficients indicative of the position of the receiver for optimal excitation. Abstract: According to an example aspect of the present invention, there is provided a process for the conversion of cellulosic waste material into a recycled cellulose product comprising the steps of cooking the waste material in a cooking liquor to remove lignin from the waste material and provide a delignified pulp, dissolving the delignified pulp in an ionic liquid to provide a spinning dope suitable for dry jet-wet spinning in an ionic liquid solution, and subjecting the spinning dope to a further processing step to provide a recycled cellulose product, said further step selected from the group of spinning cellulose fibers for use in textiles from the solution, extruding a film product for use in packaging, regenerating the dope as a hydrogel and regenerating the dope as an aerogel.
