摘要: A field-enhancing device includes at least one metal layer or a metal grating consisting of metal stripes or a dielectric grating. Usually the device is constructed on some substrate. The adhesive layer is advantageous when the next layer is metallic but is not needed with dielectric layers. The next layers to be constructed form a mirror structure that can also be omitted for simple field-enhancing device constructs. The mirror structure can be either a metal mirror structure or a distributed Bragg reflector structure (DBR). The next layer is the thin metal layer. This layer can be covered with a 1-D metal grating consisting of metal stripes or with a dielectric grating having similar geometry. The structure can also be fabricated without metals when dielectric grating is used as the field-enhancing part. Finally, a protective layer can be added on top of the structure.

摘要: Disclosed is a method for producing oleogels by sonicating a mixture including an oleogelator component and an oil component with ultrasound including superpositioned ultrasound waves while cooling the mixture from a temperature wherein the mixture is in molten state to a temperature wherein the oleogelator component of the mixture is at least partially in solid state. The method produces oleogels of improved stability.

摘要: Method of dewatering nanocellulose and other water soluble of hydrophilic polymers. The method comprises providing an aqueous suspension formed by nanocellulose in water, said nanocellulose having free hydroxyl groups; mixing the aqueous suspension with an ionic liquid or eutectic solvent which is capable of hydrogen bonding to at least a part of the free hydroxyl groups to form a modified suspension; and evaporating off water from the modified suspension in order to dewater the nanocellulose. With the ionic liquid procedure, solvent exchange with repeated centrifugation steps can be avoided, and solvent consumption and costs reduced, and processing sped up. The nanocellulose stabilized in the water-free environment then allows for access to efficient and thorough water-free chemical modification procedures resulting in highly fibrillated products.

摘要: The present invention provides a C-terminal CDNF fragment sequence or a sequence which has at least 90% homology to said sequence. The C-terminal CDNF fragment protects ER stressed neurons, motoneurons and dopaminergic neurons and the fragment is capable of penetrating neuronal cell membrane as well as the blood-brain-barrier. The present invention further provides said fragment and pharmaceutical compositions comprising said fragment for use in treatments of degenerative diseases and disorders including central nervous system diseases, diabetes and retinal disorders. The present invention is also providing a C-terminal MANF fragment sequence or a sequence which has at least 90% homology to the said sequence and pharmaceutical compositions comprising said MANF fragment for use in the treatment of degenerative diseases and disorders including central nervous system diseases, diabetes and retinal disorders.
