    摘要: Embodiments disclosed herein are directed to connections systems including a port, a catheter, a cathlock and an adapter. The adapter can be coupled with a proximal end of the catheter and a cathlock can co-operate with the adapter to secure the catheter to the port in a fluid tight engagement. One of the cathlock or the adapter can threadably engage the port and employ mechanical advantage to radially compress the catheter and ensure a fluid-tight seal. The system can further include an insertion tool configured to facilitate securing the adapter to the catheter or securing the adapter or cathlock to the port. The adapter can be provided as a separate structure or coupled to the cathlock. Engagement of the adapter with the catheter can be signaled with an audible click. Optionally the adapter can include a skirt configured to compress the catheter onto the adapter stem.

    摘要: Embodiments disclosed herein are directed to an insertion tool (100) for a catheter. The insertion tool (100) engages a proximal end of an introducer (10) and includes a guide channel (106) that aligns with a lumen of the introducer (10). The guide channel (106) supports the catheter (50) to maintain columnar integrity as the catheter (50) is urged distally, past a valve and into the lumen of the introducer (10). In an embodiment, the attachment structure can be inserted past the valve to define a pathway for the catheter. Embodiments also include an elongate opening to allow lateral ingress/egress of the catheter, a segmented cylindrical shape to provide a shortened elongate opening, and an offset elongate opening to allow a rolling introduction of the catheter to the guide channel to prevent abrasion of any coatings disposed on the catheter.

    摘要: Sealant delivery systems, sealant applicators, and injection needle assemblies are disclosed. A sealant delivery system includes a sealant applicator that has two chambers separate from one another. Each chamber includes an output port on a distal end thereof. The sealant applicator also has a quarter turn connector disposed on a distal end of the sealant applicator adjacent to the output port of each chamber. The quarter turn connector is shaped to releasably interlock with a corresponding quarter turn connector of an injection needle assembly having input ports or a corresponding quarter turn connector of a dual chamber mixing syringe having mixing ports. When the injection needle assembly or the dual chamber mixing syringe is coupled to the sealant applicator via the quarter turn connector, the input ports or the mixing ports are aligned and sealed with the output port of each chamber of the sealant applicator.

The balloon protector (100) includes a balloon-covering section (106) and a tabbed section (110) proximal of the balloon-covering section.
