Abstract: The present invention discloses a contact type of pulse measurement device, which comprises a first active sensor electrode and a second active sensor electrode having corresponding opposite polarities with each other; and the two active sensor electrodes respectively connected to the pulse measurement device by conductive wires and the pulse measurement device comprises a negative feedback difference common mode signal and a buffer/balanced circuit for providing a circuit with a self common point electrode potential. Therefore, the first bio-potential signal can be detected by means of the first active sensor electrode and the common point electrode. Similarly, a second bio-potential signal having the same magnitude but a different phase as the first bio-potential signal can be detected by the second active sensor electrode and the common point electrode.

Abstract: A process of fabricating a non-gap 3-D microstructure array mold core comprises a first step in which a buffer layer is coated on a substrate. A photomask layer is then coated of the buffer layer. A pattern is subsequently formed on the photomask by photo-lithography. The patterned photomask layer is subjected to a reflow by which a microstructure array is formed on the photomask layer. The microstructure array is coated with a metal conductive layer. The microgaps of the microstructure array are eliminated by an electrocasting layer which is coated on the microstructure array. The non-gap microstructure array mold core so fabricated is made into a metal molding tool by microinjection molding or microthermo-pressure molding.

Abstract: A dynamic vibration absorber for a rotating machinery element preferably of the bifilar pendulum vibration absorber type wherein the absorber system includes one or more pair(s) of masses having identical paths of movement relative to the axis of the rotating element whose vibrations are being absorbed, the individual absorber masses of a given pair moving out-of-phase with respect to one another relative to the rotating element wherein a disturbance torque with a frequency that is a multiple of the rotation rate of the rotating element is absorbed by a one-half relative frequency motion of the corresponding half-order absorber pair. The half-order absorber pairs are driven primarily by centrifugal forces, move with a frequency one-half that of the disturbance torque and use non-linear Coriolis forces as the source of the counteracting torque.

Abstract: A measurement signal, the measurement signal indicative of a bias in a signal received via a communication channel, is generated. A detection signal, the detection signal indicative of presence of an unmodulated radio frequency (RF) carrier prior to a communication frame in the signal received via the communication channel, is generated using the measurement signal.

Abstract: A computer-implemented system is provided for monitoring performance of a media player launched by a web browser. The media player is referenced by a document that defines a web page and is implemented as a plug-in to the web browser. Upon accessing the web page, the web browser launches the media player. The media player in turn launches a performance monitor that is implemented as a plug-in to the media player. The performance monitor subscribes to event listener objects exposed by the media player and receives event data that is reported by the event listener objects. Performance metrics pertaining to the media player are derived from the event data.
