    Abstract: A beam indication method, a beam indication apparatus, a terminal and a base station are provided. The method includes: receiving a first configuration of each candidate reference carrier in a carrier list, where the first configuration includes a transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state pool configured for each candidate reference carrier; determining a reference carrier from the candidate reference carrier; receiving a common TCI state index from a base station, where the common TCI state index is used to indicate a TCI state in a TCI state pool corresponding to the reference carrier; and determining, based on the TCI state indicated by the common TCI state index, a beam direction for channel transmission and/or reference signal transmission on each carrier in the carrier list.

    Abstract: Disclosed in the present application are a short message service (SMS) ability updating method, device and apparatus. The method includes a mobility management function receives a triggering condition of an SMS function/a user data management function, and/or, the mobility management function determines that SMS over NAS ability update needs to be triggered; the mobility management function updates the SMS over NAS ability of a UE. By using the present application, when a mobility management function receives a triggering condition of an SMS function/a user data management function, and/or, the mobility management function determines that SMS over NAS ability update needs to be triggered, the mobility management function updates the SMS over NAS ability of the UE.     Abstract: The present application provides a UE capability updating method and apparatus, and a device. The method comprises: updating a machine learning model used for performing communication data processing; processing communication data according to the updated machine learning model, and determining at least one performance index related to a UE capability; when determining, according to the at least one performance index, that the UE capability is updated, determining the updated UE capability information; and reporting the updated UE capability information to a network. According to the method provided by the present application, introducing a method for identifying a UE capability change and reporting the updated UE capability solves the problem that after the UE capability is upgraded, a resource is wasted or a service requirement for the upgrading of a UE cannot be satisfied caused due to the fact that a network device still performs scheduling according to an original UE capability.
