    Abstract: Embodiments herein relate to an ostomy bag filter. In an embodiment, a filter assembly for venting gas from an ostomy bag is included having a first layer, an adhesive layer, an adsorbent element, and a second layer, the second layer configured to be welded to the ostomy bag at an annular weld area surrounding the second opening; wherein the adhesive layer is configured to adhere to the first layer, the adsorbent element, and the second layer, such that the first opening overlaps with the second opening; wherein the filter assembly is configured such that, when the filter assembly is welded over to the ostomy bag, gas from the ostomy bag flows axially through the adsorbent element and exits the filter assembly through the second opening; and wherein perimeters of the first layer, the adhesive layer, and the second layer are substantially aligned. Other embodiments are also included herein.

    Abstract: A filter arrangement for threadably securing to a filter head includes a housing having a surrounding wall defining an interior volume, an open mouth providing access to the interior volume and an end opposite of the open mouth. The surrounding wall has an exterior and an interior. A filter media construction is operably held within the interior volume. A sleeve, distinct from the housing, is secured to the exterior of the surrounding wall adjacent to the housing mouth and extending partially along the surrounding wall. The sleeve has an exterior and an interior. The exterior of the sleeve defines mounting threads constructed and arranged to removably mount with the filter head, when the filter arrangement is secured to the filter head. The interior of the sleeve is against the exterior of the surrounding wall. A first seal member is oriented against the sleeve to create a seal with a filter head, when the filter arrangement is secured to the filter head. A filter assembly includes a filter arrangement and a filter head. The filter arrangement is removably secured to the filter head by a threaded connection between the sleeve and the filter head. A system includes an engine utilizing a liquid and a filter assembly in fluid communication with the engine to filter the liquid. Methods of making filter arrangements include utilizing structures characterized above.

    Abstract: A dosing and mixing assembly for an exhaust aftertreatment device includes a conduit arrangement defining overlapping, coaxial flow paths that join at a common flow path. The conduit arrangement defines a mixing region upstream of the overlapping, coaxial flow paths, an impact region at the overlapping, coaxial flow paths, and a merge region where the coaxial flow paths join. The outer of the coaxial flow paths insulates the inner of the flow paths at least as the impact region. Reactant can be dispensed into the inner flow path along a spray path that intersects the impact region of the conduit arrangement. A spray protector can be provided at or upstream of the mixer to inhibit swirling of reactant at the doser nozzle.

    Abstract: A filter element has an upstream and downstream side. A filter media assembly of the filter element has an upstream side and a downstream side and has a first filter media layer and a second filter media layer that is adjacent to the first media layer. A substantial portion of the first layer and second layer are uncoupled, and at least one of the first media layer and second media layer comprises binder fiber. The second media layer has a mean flow pore size equal to or smaller than the first media layer. A support layer system is adjacent to the downstream side of the filter media assembly, and a first wire mesh layer is adjacent to the support layer system. At least the first media layer, second media layer, support layer system, and first wire mesh cooperatively define pleats at a pleat packing density of greater than 125%.

    Abstract: A precleaner arrangement for separating a portion of entrained material from air flow air entering an engine air cleaner. The precleaner arrangement includes a precleaner housing and at least a first flexible air deflection vane with a fixed portion secured to the precleaner housing and a deflectable portion. The deflectable portion includes a curved section extending from the fixed portion and a tail section extending from the curved section.     Abstract: A filtration media pack is provided having a plurality of layers of single facer media. The layer of single facer media includes a fluted sheet, a facing sheet, and a plurality of flutes extending between the fluted sheet and the facing sheet and having a flute length extending from a first face to a second face of the filtration media pack. A first portion of the plurality of flutes are closed to unfiltered fluid flowing into the first portion of the plurality of flutes, and a second portion of the plurality of flutes are closed to unfiltered fluid flowing out of the second portion of the plurality of flutes so that fluid passing into one of the first face and the second face of the media pack and out the other face of the media pack passes through media to provide filtration of the fluid.
