摘要: A light-emitting device includes a plurality of pixels including an organic electroluminescent element, a drive transistor driving the organic electroluminescent element, and a hold capacitor holding a control signal for controlling the drive transistor, the organic electroluminescent element being electrically connected to one of a source electrode and a drain electrode of the drive transistor. The hold capacitor includes a metal layer, an insulating layer, and a semiconductor layer in this order. The semiconductor layer receives light emitted from the organic electroluminescent element. One of the metal layer and the semiconductor layer of the hold capacitor is electrically connected to a gate electrode of the drive transistor, and the other of the metal layer and the semiconductor layer of the hold capacitor is specified at a fixed potential.

摘要: A driving circuit for a light-emitting device outputs a drive current from an output terminal to the light-emitting device in accordance with a signal current input from an input terminal. The driving circuit includes a drive transistor, a capacitor connected between a gate and a source of the driving transistor, a resistance device and a first switch arranged in series between a drain of the drive transistor and the input terminal, a second switch configured to connect the gate of the drive transistor and a first terminal of the resistance device when the first switch is closed, the first terminal being more remote from the drive transistor, and a third switch disposed in a path through which a drain current of the drive transistor flows from the output terminal to the light-emitting device. The resistance device increases its resistance in accordance with a cumulative amount of a passing current.

摘要: An ink jet head includes: actuators each including a scanning electrode, a piezoelectric element and a recording electrode and arranged in a matrix pattern of n rows by m columns (where n and m are natural numbers equal to or greater than two) in terms of electrical circuit; and a driving circuit for supplying a scanning signal to the scanning electrodes for each column, while supplying a recording signal to each row of the recording electrodes in synchronization with the scanning signal. The actuators are geometrically arranged in n rows by m columns. A relay terminal, extending in a vertical direction, is provided in at least one inter-column space between vertical columns of the actuators for relaying signals from the driving circuit to the recording electrodes and the scanning electrodes. The recording electrodes and the scanning electrodes are connected to the relay terminal via lead wires extending in a horizontal direction.

摘要: A thermal transfer printing method includes the steps of overlapping a surface of a printing layer of an intermediate transfer member having the printing layer on a base member with an ink sheet. Thermal transfer printing from the ink sheet to the printing layer is effected, subsequently overlapping the intermediate transfer member with an image receiver for transfer of the printing layer onto the image receiver. Thereafter, the printing layer is fixed on the image receiver by causing the printing layer to penetrate into the image receiver through direct application of pressure and heat to the printing layer on the image receiver. A printing apparatus is employed for effecting the thermal transfer printing method.
