The method includes sending a previous bit pattern and a current bit pattern consecutively on the data bus, wherein the previous bit pattern transitions to the current bit pattern and the number of bits that transition is greater than half the number of bits in the data bus; flipping the current bit pattern to obtain an intermediate bit pattern; sending the intermediate bit pattern; receiving the intermediate bit pattern; and flipping the received intermediate bit pattern, to retrieve the current bit pattern.

    摘要： There is provided an insert ear bud earphone with variable noise isolation. The earphone includes a housing with a serpentine channel which is able to contain at least one transducer in a main body of the housing; and a cushion which contacts a user's ear canal wall, the cushion being mounted on the serpentine channel. There is preferably at least one opening in either the housing or the cushion which causes leakage and allows ambient noise to enter the user's ear canal. There is also provided a cushion for an insert ear bud earphone. Finally, there is provided a method to enable variable noise isolation in an insert ear bud earphone comprising an inclusion of at least one opening in either a housing of the earphone or a cushion mounted on the earphone which causes leakage and allows ambient noise to enter a user's ear canal.

    摘要： The present invention discloses the use of generalized queries, referred to as query templates, obtained by generalizing individual user queries, as the semantic basis for low overhead, high benefit directory caches for handling declarative queries. Caching effectiveness can be improved by maintaining a set of generalizations of queries and admitting such generalizations into the cache when their estimated benefits are sufficiently high. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the admission of query templates into the cache can be done in what is referred to by the inventors as a “revolutionary” fashion—followed by stable periods where cache admission and replacement can be done incrementally in an evolutionary fashion. The present invention can lead to considerably higher hit rates and lower server-side execution and communication costs than conventional caching of directory queries—while keeping the clientside computational overheads comparable to query caching.
