Abstract:
Aqueous synthetic resin dispersions comprising (A) an ionic resin, based on aralkylated epoxy resins, (B) a blocked polyisocyanate and (C) a polymer of at least one olefinically unsaturated monomer which is capable of undergoing free-radical polymerization are useful, for example, as binders in processes of coating by electrodeposition.
Abstract:
Curable binder composed ofA. a polyepoxide andB. a carboxyl group-containing polymer which is obtained by reacting a carboxy-functional polyester b1 with substoichiometric amounts of an epoxy compound b2.The binder according to the invention has a high reactivity coupled with good storage stability.
Abstract:
Amino-containing polymer systems which are suitable for the preparation of binders for printing inks can be obtained by synthesizing a polymer or polymer mixture A from at least one compound from each of the groups(a) epoxides, carbonates, epoxide-carbonates,(b) amines and(c) phenols,at least partial neutralization of the resulting polymer or polymer mixture A, and transfer to water, and optionally, preparing a water-insoluble polymer B which can be prepared by polymerization of ethylenically unsaturated monomers in the presence of the polymer or polymer mixture A.
