    Abstract: A spur gear transmission with at least two intermeshing spur gears the teeth of which are in meshing engagement with one another, and each of which are rotatable via an axis of rotation. The spur gear transmission has an enveloping wall which surrounds the two spur gears in circumferential direction and in the direction of the axes of rotation. The enveloping wall has an inner contour which is adapted to the outer diameter of the spur gears in such a manner that two annular gaps which merge into each other are formed between the enveloping wall and the spur gears. One annular gap respectively is arranged at least substantially concentrically with respect to a respective axis of rotation. The enveloping wall is formed by a two-part housing which is closed along a parting line and which has an upper part and a lower part.

    Abstract: An applicator head for a curtain applicator for coating a continuous material web with liquid or pasty application medium. The applicator head has an outlet edge extending substantially over the width of the applicator head. The application medium passes out of the applicator head in a free-falling curtain. A rinsing device allows the outlet edge to be supplied with a flowing gaseous rinsing medium. There is also described a method for coating a continuous material web by way of such a curtain applicator. The application medium passes out of the applicator head in the form of a free-falling curtain and subsequently comes into contact with the material web. The region of at least one of the outlet edges can be supplied with a flowing gaseous rinsing medium.

    Abstract: A method for producing a cylindrical screen device with a plurality of profiled bars. The outer face of a plurality of mutually spaced annular bar holders, which are arranged perpendicular to the cylinder axis, are provided with recesses that are open at the edges. The recesses have a shape that substantially corresponds to the base of profiled bars in a complimentary manner. The recesses are marginally larger than the bases. The profiled bars are inserted into respective recesses, parallel to one another and parallel to cylinder axis.

    Abstract: A spur gear transmission has at least two meshing, toothed spur gears. A covering wall surrounds the spur gears circumferentially and in the direction of their rotational axes. The covering wall has an inner contour adapted to the outer diameters of the spur gears. Two annular gaps which transition into each other are formed between the covering wall and the spur gears. The annular gap is substantially concentric to a rotational axis. The covering wall surrounds the two spur gears circumferentially only over a part of the circumference, with a part of the outer circumference of the two spur gears or one of the two spur gears protruding outwards out of the covering wall. The part of the two spur gears or of the one spur gear that protrudes out of the covering wall is positioned on the lower face of the spur gears.

    Abstract: A clothing for a machine for producing a fibrous web, especially a paper, cardboard, tissue or cellulose pulp web. The clothing has a basic structure with a top side and a running side as well as a nonwoven support at least on one side. The nonwoven support has a functional zone, which extends over more than 50 μm in the thickness direction of the clothing and which includes a first portion and a second portion of nonwoven fibers. The nonwoven fibers of the first portion are formed of, or include, a polyurethane, especially a thermoplastic polyurethane, while the nonwoven fibers of the second portion are a polymer material not including a polyurethane. The first portion makes up between 10 wt. % and 60 wt. %, of the functional zone. There is also described a method for production and a suitable nonwoven fabric.
