Abstract: A drive unit for a vehicle, having an electric motor and a transmission unit, wherein the electric motor is connected to the transmission unit via a drive shaft and at least one first output shaft can be driven to rotate by the transmission unit, wherein the drive unit also has at least one brake unit. The rotation of the at least one output shaft can be delayed by the brake unit, wherein the drive unit has at least one of the following: a lubricant circuit through which both the transmission unit and at least one brake unit can be supplied with lubricant, and a cooling circuit through which both (i) at least one of the electric motor and a power electronics system assigned to the electric motor; and (ii) at least one brake assembly can be supplied with coolant.

Abstract: A wiper motor having a gearbox housing which comprises a pot-shaped main body for forming a receiving space for a gear mechanism is disclosed. An opening in the main body can be closed by a gearbox cover, and a plurality of latching connections, which act in the direction of a joining direction between the main body and the gearbox cover, are formed between the main body and the gearbox cover. Each comprise an elastically deformable first latching element and a second latching element which interacts with the first latching element in a form-fitting manner, and wherein centring means are provided on the gearbox housing for the play-free positioning of the gearbox cover relative to the main body in a rotational angle position, which extends perpendicularly to the joining direction, between the main body and the gearbox cover.

Abstract: A gearbox may include a gearbox case with a wear sleeve disposed within a shaft bore, and a gear assembly mounted on a shaft and disposed within the shaft bore. The gear assembly may include a bearing that engages the wear sleeve. A method of repairing a gearbox case may include uncoupling a top piece and a bottom piece of the gearbox case, forming an oversize bore in a shaft bore of the gearbox case to remove a damaged area, and installing a wear sleeve in the oversize bore.

Abstract: Techniques for joining nodes and subcomponents are presented herein. An additively manufactured first node or subcomponent has a groove. An additively manufactured second node or subcomponent has a tongue configured to extend into and mate with the groove to form a tongue-and-groove connection between the first and second node or subcomponent. In some aspects, the tongue-groove connection may extend substantially around a periphery of the node or subcomponent. In other aspects, a first subcomponent having a fluid pipe interface may be coupled via a tongue-groove connection to a second subcomponent having a fluid pipe interface, thereby enabling fluid to flow between subcomponents of the resulting integrated component.

Abstract: An electric drive unit and method of assembling the same is disclosed. The electric drive unit includes a rotor having a rotor shaft, and gear shaft, where the rotor shaft is inserted into the gear shaft. The gear shaft is supported by two bearings, while the rotor shaft supported directly at one end by a bearing and at the other by the gear shaft. A wave spring is also disclosed that provides an axial loading to the rotor shaft. Also disclosed is a balancing ring secured to an end of the rotor via a locknut. The balancing ring can be machined in order to balance the rotor. The rotor shaft can be connected to the gear shaft via a spline connection. The rotor shaft can bear against the gear shaft via a pilot journal and pilot bore defined on the rotor shaft and gear shaft respectively.

Abstract: A drive transmission device includes an intermediate gear, a housing portion, and a support portion. The intermediate gear meshes with a first gear and a second gear to transmit a rotational driving force from the first gear to the second gear. The housing portion is formed from resin and includes a pair of cover portions, covering both sides of a gear train including the intermediate gear, to house the gear train. The support portion is formed from metal and supports the rotation shaft of the intermediate gear at a position outside the housing portion.

Abstract: Embodiments of a system, method and apparatus for a gear are disclosed. For example, a metallic gear hub can include an axis of rotation and metallic gear teeth. The metallic gear teeth can be smaller than a final gear teeth size of the gear. The metallic gear teeth can be co-planar with the axis. In addition, the metallic gear teeth can be non-orthogonal to the axis. A polymer layer can be located on the metallic gear teeth to form polymer gear teeth on the metallic gear teeth. The polymer gear teeth can form the final gear teeth size of the gear.

Abstract: A transmission includes an input shaft coupled to a prime mover, a countershaft, main shaft, and an output shaft, with gears between the countershaft and the main shaft. The shift actuator is mounted on an exterior wall of a housing including the countershaft and the main shaft. A shift control circuit operates a shift actuator using a first opposing pulse command and a first actuating pulse command, and releases pressure with shift actuating and opposing volumes of the shift actuator upon determining a shift completion event.
