    Abstract: An apparatus to be used in a UE in a mobile communication network to communicate with a base station, includes a memory configured to store a RRC message, and processing circuitry configured to decode the RRC message to obtain BWP configuration information and mapping information, identify one or more UL BWPs and one or more DL BWPs within a carrier bandwidth per Serving Cell based on the BWP configuration information, identify one or more SR configurations which a LCH is mapped to for the UL BWPs based on the mapping information, the LCH being mapped to none or one SR configuration for each of the UL BWPs, identify activation of a UL BWP of the UL BWPs, and encode an SR on a PUCCH based on a SR configuration for the UL BWP.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatus are described for carrying out timing adjustments in a wireless communications network. The approach includes a user equipment (UE) that includes processor circuitry and a radio front end circuitry. The processor circuitry is configured to obtain a timing advance value for the wireless communication with a satellite base station, and to determine a transmission time for transmission of a random access channel (RACH) preamble based on the timing advance value. The radio front end circuitry transmits the random access preamble at the transmission time. Finally, the processor circuitry is further configured to receive a response to the transmitted random access preamble.

    Abstract: A secondary node (SN) in evolved universal mobile telecommunications system terrestrial radio access network new radio-dual connectivity (EN-DC) with a master node (MN) can directly provide measurement configuration and receive measurement reports from a UE and/or coordinate measurement configuration and reporting with the MN. For example, only one measurement object configuration is allowed for a frequency, but both MN and SN can provide measurement reporting configurations on the same measurement object. The UE can send measurement reports for the same measurement object to both MN and SN or the node that configured the reporting criteria configuration. In another embodiment, only one node provides the reporting configuration but configures the UE to provide reporting to one node or both MN and SN.

    Abstract: User equipment (UE), an enhanced NodeB (eNB) and method of reducing handover latency are generally described. The UE may transmit measurement feedback to the eNB based on control signals. The UE may receive a reconfiguration message from the eNB or another eNB to the UE is attached. The reconfiguration message may contain reconfiguration information indicating whether or not a physical layer or layer 2 of the UE is to be reconfigured and/or a security key is to be updated. The reconfiguration information may be dependent on whether the handover is between eNBs controlled by a same entity and/or whether the handover comprises an intra-frequency transition. The UE or eNB may initiate handover of the UE. During handover the UE may avoid physical layer or layer 2 reconfiguration or the security key update. The security key and data for the UE may be provided directly between the eNBs.
