摘要: There is an air freshener unit and a combined container and air freshener unit. The air freshener unit is mounted onto the upper portion of the container and is comprised of a first section and a second section. In one embodiment the first section is a holder for a fragrance material and the second section is a cover for the first section. The second section in a first position covers and substantially seals the first section and in a second position allows air to pass through a space between the first section and the second section and deliver the fragrance material to the atmosphere exterior to the air freshener unit. In a second embodiment both the first section and the second section contain fragrance material. In the first embodiment structure the first section is comprised of a plurality of recesses which hold the fragrance material and the second section is of a conforming shape to cover and substantially seal the plurality of recesses in a first position and in a second position allows air to pass between the first section and the second section to deliver the fragrance to the exterior of the air freshener unit. In a second embodiment structure both the first section and the second section are comprised of a plurality of recesses and deliver the fragrance material in the same manner. The fragrance material is held in the recesses and is in a solid or gel form.

摘要: The present invention provides an efficient method for bypassing outputs while in redundant form to an arithmetic circuit that is capable of adding or subtracting numbers in redundant from and comparing the magnitudes of numbers received in redundant form for equality and inequality relationships. For one embodiment of the invention, an arithmetic circuit subtracts numbers received in redundant form and compares the result to zero represented in redundant form without carry propagation. In parallel with the subtraction and comparison, the most significant bits of each number received in redundant form are generated and compared for equality, and a carry-out is generated for the subtraction. These results are combined by magnitude comparison logic to produce a magnitude comparison for the numbers received in redundant form.

摘要: A method and apparatus for adding numbers represented in redundant form or for subtracting numbers received in redundant form and for comparing results in redundant form for equality to an expected value. A redundant arithmetic circuit performs an arithmetic operation on operands received in redundant form to generate a result represented in redundant form. A comparator circuit is coupled with the arithmetic circuit to receive the result in redundant form and to perform an equality comparison of the result to the expected value, and to indicate the truth of said equality comparison independent of carry signal propagation from the least significant digit to the most significant digit.

摘要: An apparatus and method for protecting an occupant of a building from flying debris from a frangible structure of the building, such as a window or the like, in the event of an explosion or other blast. A protective barrier is positioned adjacent the building structure and is constructed to be deployed by inflation of at least a portion thereof. The protective barrier is movable from a stored position adjacent the building structure to a deployed position in which it covers the building structure. A gas generating device is connected to the protective barrier and is operable to generate gas to inflate the protective barrier and move it to the deployed position in response to the sensing of an explosion or other blast by a sensing device located remote from the building.

摘要: A folding knife includes first and second scales and a blade having a tang and a cutting edge. The tang pivotally connects the blade between the first and second scales. The blade has a retracted position with the cutting edge between the first and second scales and a deployed position with the cutting edge outside the first and second scales. An actuator between the first and second scales has a first position that locks the blade in the deployed position and a second position that allows movement of the blade between the deployed and retracted positions. A spring is in compression with the actuator between the first and second scales so that the spring biases the actuator toward the tang of the blade. A detent in the actuator engages with the tang when the actuator is in the first position and the blade is in the deployed position.
