Abstract:
A method and apparatus provides a framework for specifying a multimodal application, such as an IVR, in a communication network. The framework provides a metalanguage that enables a programmer to specify a multimodal user interface using view logic, business rules using router logic, and integration with a backend enterprise system.
Abstract:
A framework is described for providing a service to a customer via a Interactive Voice Recognition system (IVR) using natural language expressions. The expressions are evaluated using rules-based programming rules. Evaluated expressions determine an eligibility of a business service to be offered to a customer. Interaction with the customer comprises selecting a semantically correct natural language expression from an appropriate vocabulary database.
Abstract:
A purgeable manifold system for the movement of low vapor pressure chemicals that may be embodied in a variety of forms. In one embodiment, a container for storing the low vapor pressure chemical has a plurality of ports; a first manifold detachably connects a first port to a source of gas, vent, or vacuum by flow communication through a first diaphragm valve; a second manifold detachably connects a second port to a source of gas, vent, vacuum, or low vapor pressure chemical, or to a process tool by flow communication through a second and a third diaphragm valve, or alternatively detachably connects a third port to the same source by flow communication through a fourth and the third diaphragm valve; and a third manifold, detachably connects a fourth port to a source of gas, vent, or vacuum by flow communication through a fifth diaphragm valve.
Abstract:
A bobby-pin hair fastening band for fastening and styling hair comprising an elastic band with bobby-pins attached to each end. The user places the first bobby-pin to the hair. The user then wraps the band around, over or under their hair and places the second bobby-pin in the hair to secure.
Abstract:
An antenna assembly for a motor vehicle and especially for an antenna structure on a window of such vehicle in which a support plate is provided between an antenna amplifier and the antenna structure and has at least one but preferably a plurality of spring contacts locked through openings in the support plate and having arcuate portions respectively engageable with contact points on the antenna amplifier and contact pads of the antenna structure.
Abstract:
A dry analytical element is disclosed which can be used for the quantification of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDLC). The element comprises a support having one or more reagent layers containing a first enzyme, a cholesterol ester hydrolase, to hydrolyze cholesterol esters, a second enzyme, cholesterol oxidase, to release hydrogen peroxide from cholesterol, and a third enzyme, horseradish peroxidase, to oxidize a leuco dye that is read at 670 nm. The element also contains phosphotungstic acid, a non-high-density lipoprotein precipitant, and a high-density lipoprotein selective surfactant, which together confer HDLC selectivity on the assay. Also disclosed are polymers that improve assay precision and eliminate interference from hemolyzed patient samples.
Abstract:
A generally V-shaped drape formed of polymer or related materials and which functions as a sling to hold the scrotum upwardly, and out of place, during medical analysis and treatment. The drape includes a V-shaped member, formed of a highly flexible polymer, such as polyethylene, and includes a pressure sensitive adhesive area at its lower end, for application to the base of the scrotum, and further includes pressure sensitive adhesive at the upper legs of the V-shaped drape, for application to the abdomen wall, to provide a sling that flurnishes continuing clearance for access to and application of the various medical instrumentation used especially during treatment of the prostate, or other proximal anatomy located at this region of the patient.
