摘要: A surgical drape adapted to overlay a patient including an opaque sheet having superior region extending to a cephalad end with a fenestration configured to surround a surgical region of the patient, and an inferior region extending from the inferior aspect of the fenestration to a caudal end and having a transparent sheet joined to the patient facing side of the opaque sheet proximate the inferior aspect of the fenestration between opposite opaque sheet first and second edges allowing the inferior portion of the opaque sheet drawn away from the transparent sheet to allow a surgeon visual access to the patient through the transparent sheet.

摘要: Provided herein is a system and method for mitigating premature light deactivation of light deactivated adhesive drapes. One aspect provides a system comprising a drape, an adhesive layer, and a release agent, where the system is adapted to be coupled to a tissue site and released therefrom upon or after exposure to an external stimulus such as certain wavelengths of light. The system may have a photochromic layer that may transition between a blocking transmittance state and a non-blocking transmittance state to block or allow certain wavelengths of light to pass through. Some systems may use a combination of a photochromic layer and a filter layer to prevent the adhesive from being exposed to deactivation wavelengths prematurely. Another aspect provides a method for application and removal of a drape using by removing one or more of a photochromic layer and a filter layer and applying light to the drape to deactivate the adhesive layer and promote easy, clean, and less painful removal of the drape.

摘要: The invention is a patient positioner assembly, system, article of manufacture, kit, and method of a positioning a patient useful in surgical procedures to secure and hold a patient on a support table. The patient positioner comprises a sheet assembly, a pad assembly, a film for protecting a patient-facing surface of the pad assembly, and straps for a patient's limb(s) that operably connects to a support table pad having hook portions configured to operably connect to a loop base of the sheet assembly thereby operably connecting the support table pad to the sheet assembly. The sheet assembly can be configured as a cover, sheet and/or drape from suitable materials impermeable or that otherwise do not permit the passage of a fluid through its substance to the table pad and/or the split-pad assembly.

摘要: An incision foil made of a sterile, thin adhesive plastic film with a defined pattern printed on it (e.g. a fine grid pattern) can be stuck e.g. on a patient's skin surface and which marks the anatomical region of interest. Using a camera, images are acquired of the attached film and the deformation of the pattern is digitized. With a computer vision algorithm the surface of the patient, which corresponds to the surface of the film, is reconstructed from the detected pattern features in the images in comparison to the known original undeformed pattern. A method determines a geometry of the surface of the patient using the incision foil.

摘要: An apparatus for protecting an operating field. The apparatus includes a sheet configured to cover a patient’s hair during an operation. A sealing member is provided on or joined to a leading end of the sheet. The sealing member is configured to be applied to a patient’s skin adjacent to an operating field to create a seal between the operating field and the patient’s hair. At least one anchoring member is joined to the sheet adjacent to the leading end of the sheet. The at least one anchoring member is configured to be attached to the patient’s hair adjacent to the operating field to anchor the apparatus to the patient.

摘要: A dual access catheterization sleeve includes a first panel and a second panel attached to each other along sides thereof and at one end, wherein a closed distal end and an open proximal end are formed, a first access fenestration formed through the first panel at a location in a center portion of the sleeve between the proximal and distal ends; and a second access fenestration formed through the first panel at a location between the first access fenestration and the closed distal end. The sleeve is dimensioned to cover a hand and at least a portion of an arm of a patient.
