A device displays a listing of items in an item data display area on a display. The device receives an indication of a pinch gesture from a touch-enabled screen and scales a facet of the item data to produce a scaled-facet listing responsive to the pinch gesture. The device scales by modifying a degree of a characteristic corresponding with a facet of the item data displayed in the scaled-data display area in an increasing amount responsive to the pinch-in gesture. The modifying further comprises producing a scaled-out listing implemented as an updated portion of item data having a temporal indicator that is later than an initial display of item data by an amount proportional to a magnitude of a pinch gesture characteristic corresponding to the pinch-in gesture. Finally, the device displays the scaled-facet listing as an updated set of item data.

Using the search parameters and the attribute, content from a database that is within a predetermined margin of difference of the derived attribute are determined. A list of the content is caused to be presented in a user interface of the user.

Techniques for facilitating a shopping experience based on a passenger's destination are described. According to various embodiments, a destination location of a passenger on a vehicle is determined. Contextual electronic content is then selected, based on the destination location of the passenger. Thereafter, the contextual electronic content is displayed via a user interface on a vehicle passenger seat display screen associated with the passenger or on the passenger's mobile device.

A user interface is provided to a user in a vehicle with the user interface including a selectable option to wirelessly place a bid on an electronic auction. The selectable option is based, at least in part, on an auction parameter. A safety level score is then determined for the vehicle. The auction parameter is then dynamically altered based on the speed of the vehicle, resulting in a change to the selectable option.

Systems and methods for providing an enhanced user experience at an event or venue are provided. The systems and methods provided herein provide venue-specific location-based services to the user through the user's mobile device. Such services include allowing a user to order merchandise and concessions from their seat using their mobile device and delivering the ordered items to their seat. Such services also include determining a user's seat location from a scanned code on the user's ticket and providing a map to and from their seat.

A search is automatically performed for items relevant to the user interest. A user interface in the vehicle is then caused to display the items relevant to the user interest.
