    摘要: A still camera has a housing adapted to hold a roll of film having a succession of frames. An openable shutter is provided on the housing alignable with the film and a takeup wheel in the housing is connectable to the roll of film and rotatable to wind the film up and displace the frames one-by-one past the shutter. A film-advance slide is displaceable on the housing between a pulled-out position projecting from the housing and a pushed-in position fitting snugly with the housing. A transmission and a one-way coupling are provided in the housing between the slide and the take-up wheel so that the take-up wheel is rotated to wind up the film only on displacement of the slide from the pushed-in position to the pulled-out position. Furthermore, a frame-sensing mechanism in the camera arrests displacement of the slide or a portion of the slide in the direction toward the pulled-out position when a fresh frame is properly aligned with the shutter.

    摘要: A prism positioned behind the objective rotates at a predetermined frequency. The pulsed light beam produced thereby is split into a first and second pulsed beam, each falling on a photoelectric transducer element. The first photoelectric transducer element is positioned at a distance from the objective which is less than the distance between the film plane and the objective plane by a predetermined distance. The second photoelectric transducer is positioned away from the objective by a distance exceeding the distance between the film plane and the objective plane by the same predetermined distance. The first and second electrical signals produced by the first and second photoelectric transducer are differentiated and stored. The so-stored signals are compared and a control signal for driving a motor in a first or second direction is furnished corresponding to the difference therebetween. The motor drives the objective either closer to or away from the film plane in response to the control signal.

    摘要: Apparatus for convoluting exposed and copied photographic films on the cores of takeup reels has an advancing mechanism which transports successive films along a given path so that the leaders of successive films can be engaged by the gripper of a pivotable arm serving to transfer the leader of the film in the path toward the peripheral surface of the core of an empty takeup reel. The reel has no flanges or is provided with a single flange carrying or adjacent a fixedly mounted or movable protuberance which defines with the peripheral surface of the core a gap for the leader of the film. Once the leader has entered the gap and the takeup reel is set in rotary motion, the film is wound onto the protuberance and is thus affixed to the core. The length of the protuberance is less than the axial length of the core but exceeds one-fourth of such axial length.

    摘要: A photographic copying machine wherein the images of successive frames on a long roll of spliced-together exposed and developed customer films are copied while successive films are advanced stepwise from a supply reel on a first driven mandrel toward and is convoluted on a takeup reel on a second driven mandrel. The copying machine employs a third mandrel which can support a fresh roll in the plane of the roll on the first mandrel, and a fourth mandrel which can support an empty takeup reel in the plane of the rotating takeup reel. The leader of the fresh roll is located adjacent the film path ahead of the copying station and is automatically advanced into the range of an automatic attaching mechanism when the trailing end of the expiring roll has advanced beyond the copying station. The attaching mechanism secures the leader of the fresh roll to the core of the empty takeup reel, and the machine is then ready to make copies of frames forming part of the fresh roll. The filled takeup reel on the second mandrel is replaced with an empty takeup reel and a fresh roll is placed onto the first mandrel while the machine copies the frames of the roll which is supported by the third mandrel and is convoluted on the takeup reel on the fourth mandrel.

    摘要: A photographic apparatus which can accept cassettes for high-speed or lower-sensitivity film has a mechanical or electronic switch which automatically deactivates a light-emitting diode which serves to indicate the intensity of scene light as soon as a cassette for high-speed film is properly inserted into the body of the apparatus. Such cassette further causes a filter to move out of register with the light-sensitive resistor which is in circuit with the diode and is exposed to scene light. The diode is also deactivated if the diaphragm is adjusted to furnish an aperture of maximum or minimum size; alternatively, the diode is deactivated only when the body of the apparatus contains high-speed film and the diaphragm is adjusted to furnish an aperture of maximum or minimum size.
