The invention relates to a method for stripping undesired nucleic acid components from double-stranded DNA, in particular, super-coiled plasmid DNA. The method according to the invention is characterised by the steps: (a) provision of a mixture containing completely and/or partly double-stranded nucleic acids and optionally single-stranded nucleic acids; (b) resuspension of the mixture from step (a) in an aqueous, low-molarity buffer system with low ionic strength and low buffer effect; (c) adjusting conditions in the mixture from step (b), under which the completely and/or partly double-stranded nucleic acids are denatured; (d) further addition of buffer and a polymer component to the mixture from step (c); (e) incubation of the mixture from step (d) for a time which is sufficient for the formation of an aqueous two-phase system with an upper and lower phase; and (f) removal of the upper phase containing the single-strand nucleic acid and collection of the double-strand nucleic acid from the lower phase.

The invention relates to a method of operating a frequency divider. The frequency divider includes a plurality of divider cells arranged in a chain. Each divider cell is adapted to divide a frequency of an input signal with one of two enabled division ratios in accordance with an applied division ratio control signal, and each divider cell but the last is adapted to provide a frequency divided signal as an input signal for a respective next divider cell. In order to enable a Fractional-N division, the method comprises receiving and buffering a new division ratio control signal for each of the divider cells, and synchronizing an application of the buffered division ratio control signals to the divider cells with a status of a current division cycle. The invention relates equally to a corresponding frequency divider, PLL frequency synthesizer, RF front end, device and system.

The filling (14) comprises further alloy components for the resulting alloy of the shaped body, for example silicon. The filling (14) may apart from the silicon also comprise further components, for example aluminium and/or boron.
