A method of accomplishing switchover from an inservice local to a remote NP (Network Processor) is described. The remote NP is periodically updated with configuration data obtained from the inservice local NP. Switchover from the local inservice NP to the remote NP is initiated. Communications between the remote NP and a plurality of NEs (Network Elements) is established nonsynchronously. The local NP is notified that the remote NP is established as an inservice NP.

A data storage system head slider and a method of making the same. The head slider includes a slider body and an accelerometer formed integrally with the slider body. In preferred embodiments, the accelerometer includes a cavity-formed in the slider body. A structural beam extends over the cavity such that the structural beam deflects in response to acceleration of the head slider. A piezo transducer formed on the structural beam provides a transducer output signal indicative of a magnitude of the acceleration of the head slider.

A parallel flash memory controller, a chip, and a control method thereof are disclosed. First, an on-chip control bus sends flash memory control instructions in parallel to instruction parsing units (211) according to channels. Next, the instruction parsing units store (211) and parse the flash memory instructions corresponding to the flash memory channels, and sequentially send the flash memory control instruction to the flash memory control units (213). Then, the flash memory control units (213) send control instructions to the flash chips in the channels according to rows, and then the control instructions are processed in parallel in flash memory rows. In the present invention, the operations for each channel are performed independently in parallel, the flash memory control units (213) in the channels send the control instructions in series, and meanwhile, in each flash memory row, operations are concurrently performed in parallel. Therefore, the read/write rate of the flash memory is increased for many times, and the bottleneck in adopting flash memory chips to accomplish high-speed and large-capacity storage devices is effectively eliminated.

A rhizopus oryzae strain, mutagenesis and screening methods thereof, and methods of producing fumaric acid by fermentation. The strain is named as Rhizopus oryzae ME-F13, and deposited in China Center for Type Culture Collection with depository number CCTCC M 2010351. The strain is obtained by physically mutagenizing the original strain ME-F12 through ion injection, culturing the processed bacteria on the solid selective plate containing 2-D-deoxylucose (2-DG) and picking up 2-DG-resistant single colony. The strain is capable of simultaneously saccharifying starchy material and fermenting it to produce fumaric acid. With an improved enzymatic activity, the strain can be directly used to ferment raw starchy materials without needing pre-saccharifying.
