摘要: A link aggregation function and maintenance function by MPLS OAM. Identical entry information is stored in plural circuits IF which perform a LA setting. In this way, multiplexing to the same LSP is possible even with different IF. The first network IF is assumed to be OAM ACT, and the second network IF is set to OAM SBY (SBY). OAM frame insertion is performed only by an OAM ACT port. In this way, in an opposite MPLS transmission apparatus, it is possible to prevent CV frame reception above a specified number of frames. Further, a switch forwarding table is set to forward frames from the network side to the first network IF of OAM ACT. The second network IF which was set to OAM SBY does not perform fault detection by CV reception. In this way, incorrect detection of faults due to non-reception of OAM can be prevented.

摘要: An interconnection between fully synchronous networks of the prior art and next generation frame communications networks, which is required for the shift to next-generation packet networks and a broader-based connection service, is realized. Here, the first point is that a means of bidirectional frame format conversion between a synchronous multiplexing system and a logical multiplexing system is provided, and a method of transmitting data between different networks on a path as if it was being transmitted in the same network. The second point is that when converting network control information in an STM network into data suitable for a packet network, even across the boundary of a synchronous multiplexing system and a logical multiplexing system, a unified communication management means is provided over the whole path. For this purpose, a hierarchized logical path control method is used wherein, in a network comprising two or more information relay devices having one or more line interfaces, this network performs communication between information relay devices using data packets, and has a means, when performing communication between any two points in the network, to control the path via which the packets pass between arbitrary end points, and the communication control means has a first communication path management function which performs communication management at the connection level which is terminated at the end point of a communication section, and a second communication path management function which performs communication management for each section of a physical circuit or logical circuit which is terminated at each communication section between any adjacent information relay devices in the communication section.

摘要: A device for detecting the presence or absence of an original and size thereof and corresponding method therefore. The device is provided on an image forming apparatus, and provides accurate detection of an original and an original's size in the presence of external light. External light is detected during the non-emission state of a light emitting element and used to correct a reference value. The corrected reference value is then compared to a detected value of light emitted from the light emitting element and reflecting from an original, if one is present. Based on the comparison a determination is made as to the presence of an original. When an original is present the light emitting element traverses across the glass contact plate of the image forming apparatus on which the original is placed. Upon the determination of an absence of the original, the light emitting element halts its movement. The distance travelled by the light emitting element is then used to determine the size of the original.

摘要: A pedal stroke sensor is placed at a point of a pedal bracket, which is located away from a pedal, and where the pivot of the pedal stroke sensor is not aligned with the pivot of the pedal; the pedal and the pedal stroke sensor, which are thus separated away from each other, are connected together by a link mechanism; and a pedal deflection is transmitted through the link mechanism to the pedal stroke sensor.

摘要: A transmission network is comprised of a network management system for collectively managing and controlling a plurality of transmission devices coupled mutually through transmission routes and the transmission network as well. The network management system includes a plane management table adapted to manage transmission planes defined as a set of paths in the transmission network, and the plane management table has the function to set and manage a transmission plane (working plane) applied during normal operation and besides, a single or a plurality of transmission planes (protection planes) applicable in the event of occurrence of a fault in the transmission network. Then, when a fault occurs in the transmission network, the network management system changes the applied plane to a suitable transmission plane.
