摘要: A method for making a microfine semiconductor device includes the step of forming a diffusion layer of a small depth to provide reduced junction leak current. Si ions are implanted at a dosage of from 1.times.10.sup.15 to 1.times.10.sup.16 cm.sup.-2 into an Si substrate held at a temperature not higher than -40.degree. C. Then, impurity ion implantation into the Si substrate is conducted so as to form an impurity layer having a depth smaller than that of the amorphous layer. Consequently, it is possible to form an amorphous layer wherein elongation and an increase of dislocation loops at the interface between the amorphous layer and crystalline layer is suppressed. It is also possible to activate the impurity layer through annealing and still provide an impurity layer having a depth smaller than that of the amorphous layer.

摘要: A quantitative analyzing method by a secondary ion mass spectrometric method comprises the steps of: quantitatively analyzing the target element by the secondary ion mass spectrometric method with respect to a plurality of ion-implanted standard samples, while changing an implantation energy; and correcting a secondary ion intensity which is obtained with respect to the target element in the surface layer of the sample to be analyzed by the secondary ion mass spectrometric method on the basis of the results of the quantitative analyses with respect to the plurality of standard samples. A secondary ion mass spectrometer having such a function is also disclosed.

摘要: A system with a container including a protrusion, and a receiver to receive the container. The receiver includes a slide block that is movable relative to a body of the receiver, the slide block including two surfaces, a first surface, initially contacted by the protrusion of the container during insertion of the container into the receiver, having a first slope to resist movement of the container towards the receiver, and a second surface, subsequently contacted by the protrusion of the container during the insertion of the container into the receiver, having a second slope to interact with the protrusion of the container to assist movement of the container towards the receiver. This construction provides the user with a changing insertion force to indicate proper mounting of the container.

摘要: A toner container and system for mounting and/or securing the toner container includes a toner container having a toner dispensing hole, a shutter, a protrusion. The shutter is movable relative to the toner dispensing hole, and is to selectively close the toner dispensing hole. The protrusion is connected to the shutter and movement of the protrusion causes the shutter to move relative to the toner dispensing hole to cover the toner dispensing hole. There is a receiver including a movable catch, the movable catch being in a first position when the toner container is initially inserted into the receiver, and the movable catch moving to a second position upon insertion of the toner container into the receiver. The movable catch interacts with the protrusion of the toner container when the toner container is being removed from the receiver such that the movable catch in the second position restricts movement of the protrusion of the toner container which closes the shutter as the toner container is withdrawn from the receiver.

摘要: A developing unit includes a developer bearer to bear developer on a surface thereof, first and second developer conveyors each having a spiral blade mounted on a rotary shaft thereof parallel to a rotary axis of the developer bearer to convey developer in opposite directions to each other. A developer drain hole is provided at a given height in a side wall of a second developer conveyance channel to face a communication opening across the second developer conveyor. The first developer conveyor rotates in a direction with its spiral blade rising between the rotary shaft of the first developer conveyor and the communication opening. Rotational phases of the first developer conveyor and the second developer conveyor are fixed and synchronized with each other to weaken momentum of developer flow generated by the first developer conveyor toward the developer drain hole via the second developer conveyor.
