摘要: An image reading device includes: an original table having a stationary original reading area and a moving original reading area on its top surface; an image reading unit provided inside the original table and moving the reading line in the direction of the width of the stationary original reading area and to the moving original reading area with the direction of the length of the stationary original reading area as the reading line; an original cover openably and closably provided on the original table so as to cover at least the stationary original reading area; and an ADF having an original conveyance path leading from an original tray by way of the moving original reading area to an original output tray. The image reading device reads originals of sizes larger than the readable stationary original size without any size increase of the device.

摘要: An image forming apparatus includes an interface unit which receives print data and file data; a printing unit which prints an image on a recording medium; a writing unit which stores tag data in a non-contact type tag when the recording medium provides the non-contact type tag; a buffer unit in which file data is stored in the non-contact type tag; and a control unit which controls the printing unit and the writing unit. The control unit stores the file data in the buffer unit when the file data is received. The control unit controls the printing unit to form an image on the recording medium based upon content of the print data when the print data is received. The control unit controls the writing unit to store the file data stored in the buffer unit in the non-contact type tag.

摘要: There is provided an image reading device, which comprises a photoreceptor unit having photoreceptors aligned in a line, and a signal output unit having output channels from which output signals of the photoreceptors are outputted. The output channels respectively correspond to regions into which the photoreceptors are divided. The image reading device further comprises an amplifier unit to amplify the output signals from the output channels, and a gain adjustment unit configured to use a maximum level of white signals outputted by the signal output unit as the output signals when the photoreceptor unit receives light from a white object to adjust a gain of amplification of the amplifier unit with respect to the output signals belonging to at least one of the regions other than a first region to which an output signal corresponding to the maximum level belongs.

摘要: An image reading apparatus for reading an image with respect to a plurality of colors, including: a reference member; an image reading device including a plurality of light receiving elements, the image reading device reading the reference member to obtain white level information for the respective colors, the white level information for each of the colors being a set of data of a quantity obtained by the light receiving elements, the read image being corrected based on at least the white level information; a ratio calculator calculating a ratio among the information of the respective colors; an abnormal-data determiner determining that a first piece of data in the level information of any particular color is abnormal data, where the first piece of data is different from a second specific piece of data in the level information of the same color which second specific piece of data is in a predetermined relationship with the first specific data, by an amount not smaller than a threshold, or where the first specific data is outside a range; and a data corrector obtaining correction data obtained by multiplying, by the ratio, corresponding data which corresponds to the abnormal data according to a predefined principle and included in the information of at least one color determined to be not including the abnormal data, and replaces the abnormal data with the correction data.

摘要: An image scanner includes a transparent plate, a scanning device, a driving device, a positioning member, a light absorbing portion and a white reference portion. The transparent plate has an original placing surface. The scanning device irradiates an original with light by means of a light source and scans reflected light from the original. The driving device reciprocates the scanning device along the transparent plate. The positioning member positions the original placed on the original placing surface of the transparent plate. The light absorbing portion, which is disposed on the original placing surface side of the positioning member and at substantially a central portion of the positioning member in moving directions of the scanning device, absorbs ambient light entering to the original placing surface side of the positioning member through the transparent plate. The white reference portion is provided to the original placing surface side of the positioning member.

摘要: A fixing unit is disposed at a position closer to a rear side wall than to a front side wall of a casing. A top wall is formed with a depressed portion depressed toward inside the casing. The depressed portion serves as a sheet discharge tray for receiving a recording medium that has passed through the fixing unit. The sheet discharge tray includes a tray member detachably disposed at the top wall. The rear side wall is formed with an opening through which the fixing unit is removed. When the tray member is disposed at the top wall, the tray member is positioned above and adjacent to the fixing unit and overlaps the fixing unit when viewed through the opening, thereby preventing the fixing unit from being removed from the casing. The fixing unit is removable through the opening when the tray member is detached from the top wall.
