摘要： An image reading apparatus for reading an image with respect to a plurality of colors, including: a reference member; an image reading device including a plurality of light receiving elements, the image reading device reading the reference member to obtain white level information for the respective colors, the white level information for each of the colors being a set of data of a quantity obtained by the light receiving elements, the read image being corrected based on at least the white level information; a ratio calculator calculating a ratio among the information of the respective colors; an abnormal-data determiner determining that a first piece of data in the level information of any particular color is abnormal data, where the first piece of data is different from a second specific piece of data in the level information of the same color which second specific piece of data is in a predetermined relationship with the first specific data, by an amount not smaller than a threshold, or where the first specific data is outside a range; and a data corrector obtaining correction data obtained by multiplying, by the ratio, corresponding data which corresponds to the abnormal data according to a predefined principle and included in the information of at least one color determined to be not including the abnormal data, and replaces the abnormal data with the correction data.

摘要： An image scanning device for scanning an image on a document comprises a document table on which a document to be scanned is placed, a scanning unit which is installed in the document table for scanning an image on a document by projecting light from a light source onto the document in a time-sharing manner and detecting reflected light from the document, a moving unit which moves at least one of the document and the scanning unit to let them move relatively with each other, and a document type judgment unit which judges the type of the document in regard to transmission of light through the document based on a non-lighting period image signal which is outputted by the scanning unit by scanning the document for one line in a main scanning direction in a non-lighting period of the light source.

The document-pressing member is capable of opening and closing on the document-supporting base. The reading unit has a light source and capable of reading an image from the document placed on the transparent member while the light source irradiates light on the document. The controlling unit is configured to control the reading unit to execute a first scanning operation to output image signals for the image on the document while the light source is lit, and a second scanning operation to output image signals for the image on the document while the light source is not lit. The determining unit is configured to determine whether outside light has penetrated the document-supporting base based on the image signals for the second scanning operation outputted from the reading unit.

摘要： A splash lubricating device for a horizontal or inclined engine comprises an oil-spoon which is fixed to the connecting-rod of an engine having a cylinder installed on a crank case thereof horizontally or obliquely protrusively therefrom and which is provided with an oil-splash portion formed by bending laterally the lower end portion of the oil-spoon. And the oil-splash portion is turned forward by the connecting-rod along an elliptical orbit inclined forward and downward. The posture of the oil-splash portion is settled nearly parallel with an inrush angle thereof relative to the oil near an oil upper limit level in an oil pan in order to lessen the resistance put thereupon and also inclined forward and downward at a smaller angle than an outrush angle thereof relative to the oil near an oil lower limit level in order to attain good lubricating performance as well as lessen the resistance put thereupon. Hence, the splash lubricating device of the present invention accomplished not only the good lubricating performance but also the lessening of the engine power loss.

A desired destination is designated by designating a desired abbreviated number contained in a facsimile number list which contains abbreviated numbers and respectively corresponding facsimile numbers. A predetermined operation is applied to a facsimile number corresponding to the desired abbreviated number to obtain a first operated value. Then, the desired abbreviated number and the first operated value are stored. The predetermined operation is applied again to a facsimile number corresponding to the desired abbreviated number as stored to obtain a second operated value after the transmission instruction is acquired. Whether the second operated value coincides with the second operated value is judged, and transmission of the subject data is aborted if the first operated value does not coincide with the second operated value.
