摘要: The oxide coated fine metal particles include fine core metal particles that are covered with a coating layer including an oxygen-containing compound of a dissimilar element that do not contain as a main component a metal element which is the main component of the fine core metal particles, or a complex oxide or a complex salt of the oxide, the complex oxide or the oxy-acid salt and an oxide of the metal element. A metal powder material is mixed with an oxide powder material of the oxygen-containing compound to obtain a powder material mixture. The powder material mixture is supplied into a thermal plasma to make a vapor-phase mixture and then the vapor-phase mixture is quenched to form the oxide coated fine metal particles comprising the fine core metal particles that are finer than the metal powder material and which are covered with the coating layer including the oxygen-containing compound.

摘要: A mower with a grass catcher (10) for collecting grass clippings transmitted from a mower unit. The grass catcher has an inlet opening (12) in a front position thereof, and an outlet opening (13) and an openable lid (14) in a rear position. The grass catcher (10) is connected to the rear end of a vehicle body to be supported in a suspended state by a grass catcher support unit (100). The support unit includes mounting posts (9) attached to the rear end of the vehicle body and extending upward, and a support link mechanism (20) for interconnecting upper regions of the mounting posts and lower rearward regions of the grass catcher, and for switching the grass catcher between a grass clippings collecting posture with the inlet opening directed forwardly of the vehicle body, and a raised dumping posture with the outlet opening directed downward. The support link mechanism performs a switching process for switching the grass catcher from the grass clippings collecting posture to the raised dumping posture. The switching process includes a translating process for translating the grass catcher obliquely rearward and upward while maintaining the grass catcher substantially parallel to the grass clippings collecting posture, and a rotating process for rotating the grass catcher until the outlet opening is directed downward.

摘要: An optical modulator includes a magnetic ferrite single crystal, an optical source, a photoreceptor system and an analyzer. The magnetic ferrite single crystal has a transducer mounted and arranged to receive a microwave. The microwave is modulated by a signal having a frequency lower than the microwave. Light emitted from the optical source is introduced to the magnetic garnet single crystal and modulated by the microwave applied to the transducer. The photoreceptor system receives the modulated light that is emitted from the magnetic ferrite single crystal. The analyzer is provided between the magnetic ferrite single crystal and the photoreceptor system, and the analyzer is arranged such that a rotation angle of the analyzer about an optical axis thereof is shifted by an angle in the range of about 40 degrees to about 50 degrees from an extinct position at which an amount of direct-current light transmitted through analyzer is minimized.

摘要: The present invention is such that, in a circuit for preventing an arc discharge through the application of a reverse voltage pulse, in the case where, after the application of the reverse voltage pulse has been ended, the generation of an arc discharge is detected by an arc discharge detecting means (23), a reverse voltage generated by a reverse voltage generating means (12) is applied within 1 to 10 &mgr;s to a sputtering source to lower the probability of generating a continuous arc discharge and, through a diode (D10) connected in series with the sputtering source (14) and a resistor (r10) connected in parallel with the diode (D10), a current at a time of applying the reverse voltage is restricted, thus lowering a continuous arc discharge resulting from the reverse arc discharge.

摘要: It is intended to obtain, for a channel routing region incorporating routing prohibition figures, detailed interconnection routes that satisfy given connection requirements and minimize the area of a channel region. There are provided steps of setting a channel routing region, setting a net list N as a set of subnets obtained by dividing nets, calculating a set of assignable tracks of each subnet and other necessary sets and a route density, executing a process for avoiding a vertical passage prohibition figure that obstructs routing for a subnet whose set of assignable tracks is an empty set, generating a prohibition constraint graph G representing constraints relating to vertical passage prohibition figures and terminals, forming a prohibition constraint subgraph G* from the graph G, determining a subnet set N* as a subject of a trunks assigning process from a node set of the graph G*, assigning trunks of the subnets that belong to the set N*, updating the net list N to (N-N*) and setting a graph obtained by deleting G* from G as a new prohibition constraint graph G, and judging whether all subnets of the set N* have been assigned to tracks.

摘要: A camera uses a film cartridge, which has an information recording disk which is rotatable integrally with a cartridge spool shaft and represents information inherent to a film, and feeds the film leading end portion from the cartridge by using a driver. A data detector reads the film information from the disk of the cartridge loaded in the camera. A nonvolatile memory stores the film information read from the disk. When the cartridge is loaded into the camera, the camera feeds the film leading end portion from the cartridge, reads the film information, and writes the read information in the memory. Another camera uses a film having two perforations per frame. The moving amount of the film fed by a motor controller is detected by a film driven roller rotation detector. A perforation on the film is detected by the perforation detector. Prior to at least the driving operation of the motor controller, information indicating the film feeding operation is stored in an EEPROM. The overall operations of the camera are controlled by a CPU. When a power supply is interrupted during the film feeding operation, the CPU determines the position of the next frame to be photographed on the film based on the outputs from the EEPROM, the film driven roller rotation detector, and the perforation detector.

摘要: A ferromagnetic resonance measuring cavity resonator comprises a cavity resonator having a cavity formed by a side wall. The side wall is provided with an input/output hole and a through-hole. A ferromagnetic plate provided with a through-hole is mounted on the outside surface of the side wall such that the two through-holes are aligned. A wafer specimen is pressed against the ferromagnetic plate to face the through-hole. When microwaves are introduced into the cavity resonator, ferromagnetic resonance takes place based on the static magnetic field applied to the wafer specimen and the microwaves. As a result, a ferromagnetic resonance signal is detected via the input/output hole.

摘要: A sheet sorting and storing apparatus has a stack of bin trays which are brought open at a sheet reception position, but held close at the other position. The apparatus minimizes noises upon sheet reception in a simple mechanism, improving the efficiency of sheet sorting. The bin trays are inclined down or up depending on a position of a sheet discharge device. A desired bin tray is deviated by a deviation mechanism in an approximately horizontal direction so that a spacing in the direction of the tray inclination is enlarged between two adjacent bin trays located at the sheet reception position, while keeping constant a vertical spacing thereof. The deviation mechanism includes a guide in connection with the bin trays to approximately horizontally deviate them by its slant portion connecting upper and lower vertical slots. Each bin tray has a support on its both sides with parallel surfaces to support the next upper bin tray through rollers disposed between the parallel surfaces of the adjacent bin trays.

摘要: In an automatic document feeder (ADF) for an image forming apparatus, a table is loaded with multiple documents or a single document, as desired. A transport section transports the document or one of the documents fed from the table to a predetermined position on a glass platen included in a body of the apparatus, and then transports it away from the predetermined position. A feed section has a feeding member for feeding the document from the table to the transporting section, and a separating member movable in opposite direction to an intended direction of document feed into frictional engagement with the feeding member. A mode selecting section is accessible for selecting either of a multiple feed mode for sequentially feeding the multiple documents from the table while separating the individual documents, and a single feed mode for feeding the single document therefrom. A drive source drives the separating member while switching the drive direction thereof. A controller controls the drive source such that when the multiple feed mode is selected, the separating member contacts the feeding member with friction acting therebetween, while when the single feed mode is selected, the former contacts the latter without friction acting therebetween. In the single feed mode, the separating member is driven in the feed direction and feeds a document in cooperation with the separating member, thereby preventing the document from being damaged or displaced.
