摘要： In a printing apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention, it is possible to inspect an image of a printed product where an image is printed accurately without scratching a print medium as the printed product. In the printing apparatus, first, a reading unit reads the image on the print medium conveyed by a conveyance unit, and a fixing unit fixes the print medium to a reading area by the reading unit. Then, control is performed so as to stop conveyance by the conveyance unit and fix the print medium by the fixing unit at the time of image reading, and release fixing of the print medium by the fixing unit and resume conveyance by the conveyance unit if the image reading is complete.

摘要： The present disclosure relates to a spool for a telecommunications cable. The spool prevents twisting of the cable when the spool is operated by requiring that any connections to a side of the spool are disconnected before rotation of the spool can begin. The spool includes a base, a hub, a connector bulkhead, a barrier member, and a hub locking member. A first flange of the hub is rotatably mounted to the base. The connector bulkhead receives a terminated end of the cable and is attached to a second flange of the hub. The barrier member is moveably attached to the second flange of the hub. The barrier member has a first position that obstructs access to the terminated end of the cable and a second position that allows access to the end of the cable. The hub locking member is operably connected to the barrier member such that the hub and the base are not locked by the hub locking member when the barrier member is at the first position, and the hub and the base are locked together by the hub locking member when the barrier member is at the second position.

The web carrier (1) for carrying a sheetlike web (10) by means of a plurality of rollers (2) detects the linear pattern of a waveform generated on the web (10) from an image picked up by means of a camera (imaging means) (3) using an image analysis means (73) in a controller (7), recognizes a state becoming the sign of creasing with the aid of the image and simultaneously analyzes the entering direction of the linear pattern into a guide roller (2c), drives the shaft (20c) of the guide roller (angle adjusting roller) (2c) in the direction of canceling the waveform (so that the web is not creased), and controls an alignment adjusting means (5) such that the web is not creased.

A relationship between web outgassing pressure and surface roughness of the web and web transporting rollers is developed. This relationship allows for the control over the web outgassing pressure. The ability to adjust the web tension pressure, as well as the selection of web transporting rollers with prescribed surface characteristics, allows an operator to control the degree to which the web floats over or tracks the web transporting roller. A controller, in response to pressure and tension sensors, can also provide dynamic, closed-loop control of the entire system.
