The corrugated conductors have ridges and depressions, such that air gaps are provided between insulation and the outer surfaces of the wires in the regions of the depressions. In some embodiments, the ridges and depressions form a sine wave profile in cross-section. The insulation may be provided with corrugations, and the corrugations of the insulation may align with the corrugations of the conductors. Several wires may be combined into a communication cable.

By including at least one coupling with a different frequency dependency than other couplings in the connector, crosstalk compensation performance is improved over a greater frequency range. The different frequency dependency may, for example, be used to compensate for phase shifts caused by distances between compensation circuitry and the plug/jack interface. Embodiments for decreasing these distances are also disclosed.

    摘要： A plug locking assembly comprises a housing comprising a top surface, a bottom surface and opposing sidewalls defining an open space therebetween, the open space for receiving and carrying a plug comprising a spring member. The plug locking assembly is adapted to prevent unwanted access to modular plugs engaged in associated jacks. In one embodiment, the plug locking assembly comprises a plug protection member comprising a surface spaced apart from the open space and positioned to overlie at least a portion of the spring member with the plug engaged within the housing. The plug locking assembly may further comprise a locking clip releasably securable within the housing.
