Abstract: An art distribution system for distributing art to multiple display devices within an environment. The art distribution system provides a technique for specifying images to be displayed in an environment. The art distribution system provides a hierarchical representation of spaces within the environment. Each space may be further subdivided into subspaces. The art distribution system allows a user to select a space within the hierarchy and then to select an image that is to be displayed at the display devices within the selected space. The art distribution system then displays the selected image within the space including within all subspaces of the selected space. The art distribution system may allow a subsequent assignment of the image to a subspace to override within that subspace the previous selection of an image for the space.

Abstract: A cooking oil quality sensing apparatus and system includes an acoustic wave sensor comprising one or more acoustic wave transducers configured upon a piezoelectric substrate such that when the acoustic wave sensor is in contact with cooking oil, the sensor generates acoustic wave data indicative of the quality of the cooking oil. An antenna can be integrated with the acoustic wave sensor, such that the antenna receives data an external source and transmits the acoustic wave data indicative of the quality of the cooking oil to the external source. An oscillator can be integrated with the acoustic wave sensor, such that the output of the oscillator contains data indicative of the quality of the cooking oil. The acoustic wave sensor can be coated with a material that is selectively sensitive and/or reactive to one or more fatty acids associated with or contained in the cooking oil.

Abstract: In general, a dielectric polymer substrate provided and an antenna formed upon the dielectric polymer substrate. A piezoelectric polymer layer (e.g., a polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) piezoelectric film) can be formed above the dielectric polymer substrate. Abstract: Sensor package systems and methods are disclosed, which include a quartz sensor package encapsulated by an overmold material. A surface acoustic wave sensing element and one or more bonding pads can be integrated with the quartz sensor package. Abstract: A quartz sensor method and system are disclosed in which a plurality of SAW sensing resonators can be mechanically simulated for implementation upon a quartz wafer substrate. The quartz wafer substrate can thereafter be appropriately etched to produce a quartz diaphragm from the quartz wafer substrate. A plurality of SAW sensing resonators (e.g., pressure, reference and/or temperature SAW resonators) can then be located upon the quartz wafer substrate, which is based upon the previously mechanically simulated for implementation upon the substrate to thereby produce a quartz sensor package from the quartz wafer substrate.

Abstract: A delivery system and method allow a financial institution to provide financial services to a plurality of remote devices, such as personal computers, personal data assistants, and screen phones. In addition to providing services to these remote devices, the system and method provide services to automatic teller machines (ATMs), external service providers, and internally within the financial institution to staff terminals and to the individual branches of the financial institution. The delivery of financial services is not limited to any particular network but rather may be provided through dial-in access, Internet access, on-line service provider access, or other types of delivery networks. The system is comprised of a set of reusable global components which are modular and are organized into services sets. By separating the components of the system into independent components, the system and method can be developed and tested on a component level rather than the entire system level, thereby substantially reducing the development and maintenance cycle time. The system and method operate in sessions and, for instance, employ a dialog component for gathering information from a customer, a rule broker component for providing answers to the various legal and regulatory rules in a particular country, a language man component for selecting appropriate language, a transaction executor component for performing transactions, and a presentation manager component for formatting outputs to the customer. The system and method provide state-of-the art interfaces with interface components and support legacy applications with legacy app bridge components.

Abstract: An apparatus for protecting the leading edge of an aerodynamic blade such as a propeller blade and more particularly to an apparatus for improving the maintainability of the leading edge protective sheath. In the preferred embodiment, a protective sheath made of a ductile material of sufficient hardness material such as titanium, stainless steel, nickel or a nickel alloy is attached to the leading edge of a propeller blade. The protective sheath has an interior surface that complements the leading edge of the underlying propeller blade material, while the exterior surface of the sheath is optimized to achieve an efficient dynamic profile for the propeller blade. The protective sheath is further modified so that a harder material such as ceramic can be secured to the surface of the protective sheath along its leading edge at the tip end of the propeller blade wherein erosion rates are highest.

Abstract: A telescoping drain line for connecting recreational vehicles to a sewage system has telescoping rigid wall drain pipes having a plurality of pipe sections telescoping one within the other. A flexible hose extends through the telescoping pipes and out each end thereof and has means for attaching to a recreational vehicle drain at one end and into a sewage line opening at the opposite end thereof. The flexible hose is attached at each end of the telescoping rigid wall drain pipe to prevent the flexible pipe from collapsing or coming out of the rigid pipes. The flexible pipe will fold within the telescoping pipe for storage of the drain line.

Abstract: Keys of a keypad are configured to exhibit a wave-like vertical profile across a width of the keypad, thereby improving user comfort. Keys on the edge of the main grouping are raised, with the height of adjacent keys gradually reduced until a minimum (trough) is achieved. The height of the further adjacent keys is then increased until a maximum (peak) is achieved. In accordance with one embodiment, the keyboard includes two key troughs separated by an intervening raised key portion. The key troughs are positioned at the approximate location of hands resting on the home row of keys, for example in the case of a QWERTY keypad at the “D” key and at the “K” or “L” keys.
