    摘要: A method for accurately synthesizing a full-aperture data map from a series of overlapped sub-aperture data maps. In addition to conventional alignment uncertainties, a generalized compensation framework corrects a variety of errors, including compensators that are independent in each sub-aperture. Another class of compensators (interlocked) include coefficients that are the same across all the sub-apertures. A constrained least-squares optimization routine maximizes data consistency in sub-aperture overlap regions. The stitching algorithm includes constraints representative of the accuracies of the hardware to ensure that the results are within meaningful bounds. The constraints also enable the computation of estimates of uncertainties in the final results. The method therefore automatically calibrates the system, provides a full-aperture surface map, and an estimate of residual uncertainties. Therefore, larger surfaces can be tested with greater departures from a best-fit sphere to greater accuracy than was possible in the prior art.

The crankcase towers are circumferentially spaced by gaps, and the non-orbiting scroll has tabs which extend into those gaps. The crankcase towers preferably fit into grooves in the non-orbiting scroll. The crankcase towers and the grooves on the non-orbiting scroll properly position the non-orbiting scroll and the crankcase relative to each other. The tabs extending into the gaps between the crankcase towers prevent the ingress of welding material into the compressor housing.

    摘要: A system is disclosed for terminating the metallic shields of a pair of high speed cables each having a portion of the outer jacket removed to expose a portion of the metallic shield thereof. A rigid sleeve is positioned between the metallic shield and the dielectric of each of the cables. An elongated, generally planar ground plate has a pair of crimp arms projecting inwardly from opposite edges of the plate near one end thereof for crimping onto the exposed portions of the metallic shields of the pair of cables. The crimp arms clamp the shields between the arms and the rigid sleeves and position the pair of cables on the ground plate between the arms.

    摘要: A panel mount system includes an electrical connector for mounting in an aperture in a panel. The connector has a mounting flange for interfacing with the panel, and a pair of cantilevered latch structures. Each latch structure includes a base arm projecting from the mounting flange and one locking arm deflectably cantilevered at one side of the base arm from an end thereof remote from the mounting flange. The locking arm extends angularly from the end of the base arm and from the one side thereof back towards the mounting flange. The other side of the base arm opposite the locking arm is substantially rigid. The maximum cross-sectional dimensions of one of the latch structures and its adjacent portion of the mounting aperture is different from the maximum cross-sectional dimensions of the other latch structure and its adjacent portion of the mounting aperture to provide polarization for the connector relative to the panel. The cross-sectional dimensions of the base arm adjacent the mounting flange is less than the adjacent portion of the mounting aperture to provide floating of the connector within the aperture relative to the panel.

    摘要: A system is provided for producing a shielded connector assembly for connecting a round multiconductor cable to a complementary connector having a flat array of terminals. The cable includes a plurality of insulated conductors within a cable shield and surrounded by an outer insulating jacket which is stripped to expose the cable shield and the insulated conductors. An insulating housing has a receptacle for receiving the insulated conductors in a flat array. A plurality of terminals are provided for termination to the received conductors and for mating with the terminals of the complementary connector. A conductive connector shield is mounted on and about a portion of the insulating housing, with a portion of the shield extending into the receptacle. A round conductive crimp ferrule is positioned over the round multiconductor cable in engagement with the exposed cable shield and with the exposed insulated conductors projecting from an end of the crimp ferrule. The exposed insulated conductors are sorted and positioned in a flat array. The round conductive crimp ferrule is crimped into a generally flat configuration onto the cable for holding the conductors in their flat array within the receptacle of the housing for termination to the terminals, and with the crimped ferrule in engagement with the shield portion in the receptacle.

    摘要: An electrical connector is disclosed to includes a dielectric housing having a front face, a side wall and an opening extending rearwardly from the front face for receiving at least a portion of a mating connector. A shield of sheet metal material includes a front plate portion for abutting the front face of the housing at least adjacent the side wall thereof, and a rearwardly extending flange portion overlying at least a portion of the outside of the side wall of the housing. The shield further includes a grounding spring finger portion extending rearwardly into the opening in the housing, inside the side wall for engaging the mating connector. A locking finger portion of the shield projects into a locking recess in the outside of the side wall of the housing. The invention contemplates the provision of a slot in the front face of the housing between the opening and the side wall thereof. The shield includes a locking tab projecting into the slot to prevent movement of the shield which would lift the locking finger portion of the shield out of the locking recess on the outside of the housing when the mating connector engages the spring finger portion inside the opening in the housing. The locking tab is generally planar and includes a locking barb formed within the plane of the tab for interengagement with the housing within the slot.
