摘要: A method for coating a tool or tool part, includes providing a base structure of the tool or the tool part at a temperature of 850° C. to 950° C. and applying at least one layer to the base structure. One or more layers of the at least one layer is formed of a metal carbonitride of composed of at least one of titanium, zirconium, hafnium, vanadium, niobium, tantalum and chromium. The one or more layers of the at least one layer is deposited by a deposition of a gas containing methane, nitrogen and at least one metal compound. After beginning the applying, the temperature is increased by at least 40° C. to an increased temperature and the deposition is continued for a time at the increased temperature.

摘要: Disclosed are devices, methods and systems for treatment of eye disease such as glaucoma. Implants are described herein that enhance aqueous flow through the normal outflow system of the eye with minimal to no complications. The implant can be reversibly deformed to a first shape, such as a generally linear shape conducive to insertion. Upon insertion, the implant can deform to a second shape, such as a generally non-linear shape conducive to retention within the eye. The shape also improves fluid flow from the anterior chamber and prevents or reduces clogging.

摘要: Described herein is a hand-held gonioscopic imaging system that can be used to continuously display, capture and record images of the iridocorneal angle within the eye during implantation procedures. The system can be used, for example, during device implantation procedures for the treatment of glaucoma such that landmark identification continues during implantation. Intuitive real-time images viewed through the imaging systems described herein appear to the user to move in the same horizontal orientation as the instrument is actually being moved. The systems described herein also provide independent illumination sources for the camera and the surgical microscope that also have independent illumination controls.
