    摘要: An avalanche photo diode provided with a guard ring around a photo detecting region having a pn junction, in which semiconductor layers of the photo detecting region having a pn junction, different in conductivity type from a semiconductor of the guard ring, are composed of a second semiconductor layer formed in contact with a first semiconductor layer forming the pn junction of the photo detecting region and of the same conductivity type as the semiconductor of the guard ring, and a third semiconductor layer formed in contact with the second semiconductor layer and having a larger band gap than the second semiconductor layer, and in which the tip end of the guard ring is formed to extend down into the third semiconductor layer. An avalanche photo diode can be formed to be provided with a uniformly thick, first semiconductor layer forming a photo detecting region and a second semiconductor layer forming a first pn junction between it and the first semiconductor layer, in which third and fourth semiconductor layers of the same composition as each other, respectively having larger band gaps than those of the first and second semiconductor layers, are provided to form therebetween a second pn junction which extends from the first pn junction to surround the peripheral portion of the first semiconductor layer.

In a case in which the direct current voltage exceeds a set value, voltage at both ends of the capacitor is shared by the first and second switching elements that are not electrically conductive; in a case in which the direct current voltage is below the set value, the first and second switching elements are electrically conductive on a periodic basis or as needed to output reversed-polarity voltage between load terminals; and in a case in which the first and second switching elements are turned off, voltage at both ends of the capacitor restricts voltage applied to both ends of the first and second switching elements, during a period in which the first and second feedback rectifier elements are electrically conductive.

    摘要: An electroluminescent phosphor comprising particles of a phosphor and particles of an electron-emitting material not originating from atoms constituting the host material of the phosphor and an activator. The particles of the electron-emitting material is contained inside the phosphor particles or included between the phosphor particles in close contact with the phosphor particles. An electroluminescent element has a light emitting layer containing the electroluminescent phosphor. Another electroluminescent element has a light emitting layer containing particles of a phosphor and particles of an electron-emitting material composed of a conductive compound not originating from the atoms constituting the host material of the phosphor and the activator. The proportion of the electron-emitting material to the light emitting layer is 1-75 weight %. A high-luminous efficiency and high-luminance electroluminescent element can be produced.

By employing such a dispersion liquid composition for black matrix, light reflectivity of a light absorption layer of an interface with a panel is remarkably reduced. Accordingly, in a display device such as a color cathode ray tube, a display surface in which superposition of ambient light is difficult to occur is realized.

    摘要: A magnetic recorder in which magnetic signals are transmitted between a magnetic head device and a magnetic tape, comprises a capstan shaft for driving the magnetic tape when the magnetic tape is pressed against the capstan shaft, so that the magnetic tape runs on the magnetic head device. A pinch roller presses the magnetic tape against the capstan shaft. A main chassis has the magnetic head and the capstan shaft mounted thereon. The magnetic tape and the pinch roller are mounted on a side chassis, with the slide chassis being movable relatively to the main chassis in a feed path between a first position in which the magnetic tape is wound on the magnetic head device for transmitting the magnetic signals therebetween, and a second position in which the magnetic tape is separated apart from the magnetic head device. A positioning arrangement is connected to both of the main chassis and the slide chassis to restrain a change in positional relation between the main chassis and the slide chassis in at least one direction when the magnetic tape is pressed against the capstan shaft by the pinch roller, and is separated from at least one of the main chassis and the slide chassis in the at least one direction in at least a part of the feed path when the magnetic tape is prevented from being pressed against the capstan shaft by the pinch roller.

The cassette holder supporting member has a substantially U-shape, facing three side surfaces of the cassette except the opening portion, and includes integrally formed fastening portions to be secured on the casing. The cassette holder supporting member is fastened to the casing through two fastening portions, and the chassis is directly fastened to the casing in one portion of the chassis.
