    摘要: An object of the present invention is to provide a carrier which enables to obtain a small RNA in high yield yet in high purity, a simple method for obtaining a small RNA and/or a target nucleic acid of small RNA using the same, and a reagent and a kit comprising the above-described carrier.The present invention relates to (1) a carrier for obtaining a small RNA produced by introducing a polymerizable functional group or a chain transfer group to the surface of a core particle, mixing said particle with a polymerizable monomer, then promoting polymerization reaction to form a layer comprising a polymer compound on the surface of said particle, and immobilizing a physiologically active substance having affinity to a small RNA-binding protein on the surface of the particle; (2) a method for obtaining a small RNA, characterized by using the above-described carrier; (3) a reagent for obtaining a small RNA and/or a target nucleic acid of small RNA, comprising the above-described carrier; (4) a reagent kit for obtaining a small RNA and/or a target nucleic acid of small RNA, comprising said reagent; and (5) a method for obtaining a target nucleic acid of small RNA, characterized by using the above-described carrier.

    摘要: A head arm for use in a magnetic disk drive, comprising a guide arm disposed between a magnetic head and an actuator so as to transmit actuating force of the actuator to the magnetic head thereby guiding the magnetic head along a plane of a magnetic disk, a printed circuit fixed to the guide arm, and deflection compensating member for making the coefficients of thermal expansion of said guide arm and said printed circuit substantially equal to each other in at least the direction of seek of the head arm. No thermal deformation in an out-of-plane direction occurs on such a head arm regardless of any variation in the temperature of the environment in which the magnetic disk drive is installed. The head arm may also comprise a guide arm and a printed circuit formed of a moisture absorptive material and covered at all or part of its surfaces with a covering layer formed of a moisture resistive material not permeable to moisture. No deformation in an out-of-plane direction occurs on such a head arm regardless of any variation in the humidity of the environment in which the magnetic disk drive is installed. Therefore, the possibility of occurrence of off-track can be minimized.

    摘要: A magnetic disc unit includes a rotating disc type magnetic disc having an outer periphery, and a carriage arm linked to a head support mechanism for a recording/reproducing head. A base has an outer periphery and mounts the rotating disc type magnetic disc and the carriage arm, and has a side wall with an inner wall surface having an opening for inserting the carriage arm. The inner wall surface of the side wall defines a shroud surrounding the outer periphery of the magnetic disc, except at the opening in the side wall where the shroud is projected inwardly so as to decrease an opening angle of the opening in the side wall. A gap between the outer periphery of the magnetic disc and the shroud is set in a range not less than 0.1 mm but not greater than 0.6 mm.

    摘要: In a rotary-disk transducer position control apparatus and method in which positional information concerning a transducer relative to a rotary disk based on a signal is obtained from the transducer which is disposed in opposition to the rotary disk, a seek instruction is inputted through an input device so that a first transducer access mechanism is caused to make the transducer perform a seeking operation at a low speed with a large stroke in accordance with both the positional information and the seek instruction, and in order to make the transducer perform both a seeking operation and a following operation, a second transducer access mechanism is caused to drive the transducer at a high speed with a small stroke in accordance with the positional information and the seek instruction.

    摘要: A flying head slider has gas bearing rails formed on a surface thereof disposed in opposed relation to a recording medium. The flying head slider flies at a microscopic distance above the recording medium by a pressure produced by a stream of gas resulted from the rotation of the recording medium. Each of the gas bearing rails comprises an inflow portion disposed at an inflow side of the gas stream so as to produce a pressure, an outflow portion disposed at an outflow side of the gas stream so as to produce a pressure, and a connective portion interconnecting the inflow portion and the outflow portion in a common plane. The connective portion serves to suppress an excessive compression of the gas, and achieves good damping characteristics.

    摘要: An apparatus for supporting and reciprocating a magnetic head slider above a rotating magnetic disk comprises a carrying arm having a free end, a flexible base connected at one end thereof to the free end of the supporting arm, a pair of flexible fingers extending from the other end of the flexible base parallel to an axis of the carrying arm and defining therebetween a space, a traverse bar connecting two free ends of the fingers, and a flexible tongued member on which the magnetic head slider to be mounted, one end of the tongued member being connected to the traverse bar and the other end thereof extending into the space with gaps between the tongued member and the fingers and the base. A reduced part of a minimum cross-section is provided in each of the fingers. The reduced part is located between the one end of the tongued member and a center between the one end of the tongued member and the other end of the base.
